What is Dot-therapy?

DOT-therapy is one of the innovations in the field of rejuvenating techniques. It stands for: Dermal Optical Thermolysis. Another name for this method is laser rejuvenation. This is a method that uses a dosed effect on the skin of very thin laser beams, creating microdamages of a cone-shaped shape (peculiar microcapsules). The formed zones of damage begin to be quickly filled with new tissue due to the synthesis of collagen and elastin (in this case the same effect that we can observe when healing any wound). In addition to the damaged zones, the surrounding zones are activated, the cells that begin to rapidly renew, thus accelerating the regeneration process. The result is tissue renewal and skin rejuvenation.

In addition, laser rejuvenation is the only effective method that allows you to radically change the structure of the skin. This is why it is used to fight scars (post-acne).

Laser rejuvenation is carried out by courses, since one session can process no more than 10-15% of the skin surface, so the full course is an average of four procedures. For the treatment of scars will require six to eight procedures.

Laser rejuvenation causes a slight swelling of the skin and redness, the formation of crusts in the areas of skin damage. Immediately after the procedure for thirty to forty minutes, a slight burning sensation remains. Up to one week, dry skin can be observed , the feeling of tightness of the skin persists for no more than three to five days.

Laser skin rejuvenation allows you to get rid of wrinkles, has a lifting effect (tightens the skin), aligns the structure and color of the skin, eliminates or makes less visible scars. This is one of the most effective rejuvenating procedures, which can constitute a serious alternative to surgical facelift.

The procedure is recommended in the winter, so as not to expose the skin to additional sunlight. And that the new skin is not affected by ultraviolet, it is recommended to use sunscreens (with a factor of at least 30).

Like any other method, laser rejuvenation has its own contraindications. Firstly, the procedure is not performed during pregnancy, if there is inflammation in the area of exposure, with psoriasis and malignant neoplasms, with herpetic lesions and epilepsy.
