What does the category "Limited military service" mean?

Do you have poor health, and are you afraid that in the army it will only worsen? If you know your rights and will be able to use them when you pass a medical examination at a military registration and enlistment office, then the problem is solved. One way to be exempted from conscription is to obtain a category "restricted to military service," which means enrolling a draftee. It is worth knowing that when determining the suitability of a young man for military service, the draft commission officers rely on the provision on medical examination. This document has an appendix, which contains a list of validity groups and the classification of diseases for these groups. The schedule of diseases reflects the requirements for the state of health for the following categories of citizens:

  • I - for citizens who first joined military registration or are drafted into military service.
  • II - for servicemen who undergo urgent military service on conscription.
  • III - for servicemen who serve under the contract.
  • IV - for citizens who pass or are recommended to undergo urgent service on submarines.

In the list of diseases the following groups of fitness for urgent military service are marked:

  • "A" - in this category include absolutely healthy recruits, suitable for military service.
  • "B" - a conscript who has minor illnesses, may fall into a group fit for service with minor medical restrictions.
  • "B" - in the category "limited to military service" are conscripts with serious diseases (most often they are enrolled in the reserve).
  • "G" - a conscript who has suffered serious illness or was injured may enter the group temporarily unfit for military service.
  • "D" - conscripts who have serious illnesses that can not be served are considered unfit for service.

It is worth remembering that careful and attentive attitude towards your health will simplify the procedure of passing medical examination in your favor. The presence of a disease in the presentation of the medical history can serve as a strong argument for obtaining the category "limited to military service." With any malaise, it is necessary to consult a doctor and record all complaints and illnesses in the medical card.

Unfortunately, many recruits do not know which categories of validity exist, which means "limited to military service". At the same time, if you suspect that your health is really weak, then you need to do the following:

  • Study the list of diseases that are an obstacle to military service, and compare with the diagnoses in your medical record;
  • Determine what disease you will pay attention to the members of the medical board in the military registration and enlistment office;
  • At least a year before the draft campaign, start attending physicians. The main thing is that the information about the diseases should be reflected in your medical card, because This is an important document. Remember: if you have a certain disease, but it is not detected by doctors and not recorded in the card, the probability of serving in the army increases;
  • Carefully study all the symptoms of your disease, otherwise the draft medical board can redirect you to a multitude of examinations to different doctors;
  • On a medical board in a military registration and enlistment office take with itself all documents which confirm presence of the certain disease.

If you do everything right, then events can develop in two versions:

  1. The commission recognizes you as unfit or limitedly fit (for example, only suitable in wartime) to serve in the army.
  2. You will be sent for examination to a specialized hospital, where doctors, of course, will get acquainted with your medical card. As you remember, this is a document you can trust.

Thus, after additional examinations, the medical board in the military registration and enlistment office can follow the path described in paragraph 1.

The simplest example, showing how an attentive attitude to health affects the possibility of service in the army. It is worth knowing that repeated concussion gives you the right to free you from military service. A concussion can be as light and does not cause serious health consequences, and severe. At the same time with slight concussion often to the doctor is not treated, but in vain. After all, this can become a serious argument in the decision-making by the draft commission (in particular, to obtain the category "limited to military service").

In order to fix a concussion, the patient's words about nausea and dizziness and the presence of these symptoms are enough.

In addition, the detection of a diagnosis when examined by a doctor is also important during the passage of the primary military and conscription commissions. So, going to the medical board in the military registration and enlistment office, you need to know exactly what is written in your med-card, and in which of the categories of validity it is possible to meet your diagnoses.

Thus, even minor at first glance diagnoses can greatly affect the possibility of service in the army.
