We collect mushrooms: stitches and morels - harm and benefit

In the early spring, when the last snow comes down and everything around comes to life, the first mushrooms appear in our forests - lines and morels. Wrinkled, with a wonderful aroma, these mushrooms have long been revered in Russia. There are legends according to which such mushrooms help to preserve youth. In addition, this spring "snowdrop" is mentioned in the birch bark certificates, which archaeologists found under the St. Panteleimon Cathedral in Novgorod . They described the fact of treatment with morels and lines of such diseases as myopia, age-long farsightedness and other eye diseases (a special tincture was prepared from the mentioned mushrooms).

In our time, mushroom stitches also fell into the laboratory. With the help of numerous studies, the therapeutic properties of these fungi have been confirmed. They found a substance that not only strengthens the eye muscles, but also helps to maintain the transparency of the eye lens.

How can they be found in the forest? Smorochki are quite large mushrooms, with a clearly separated stem and cap. The latter is collected in folds and has a brown color of various shades. There are spores all over the surface of the cap. There are two types of morels - edible and conical. They can be distinguished in the shape of a cap: the first has a round cap of a gray-brown color with deep cells. The cap of the conical morel is elongated, it resembles a cap cut off from above, the base of which has an edge attached to the leg. In addition, his hat is much darker than an edible morel.

Stitch fungi are close relatives of morels. They can also be distinguished by a hat. It has an irregular shape and consists of a lot of erratic folds. In appearance, it resembles the brain. Color of the cap is dark brown. The leg is thicker than that of the morel. In addition, this species is considered conditionally edible. Words are much more difficult to convey the way morel mushrooms and lines look. Photos are more informative, using them to recognize mushrooms in the forest will be much easier. Now is the time to find out where they can be found.

Mushrooms stitching and morels like to settle in those places where there was a fire before. That is why very often they can be found in large numbers in places where forest fires have occurred. The first appear morels. More often mushrooms appear on open and heated places - on forest glades. It must be remembered that one by one they do not grow. If there is a morel on the glade, then for certain there is still, you just need to look good among last year's dried grass.

For inexperienced mushroom pickers, one should say that of these species of fungi, one has in its body a toxin such as gyromitrin. In small doses, it is safe, but in large doses it has the same effect as pale toadstool. This toxin does not lose its properties even when boiled and rinsed. The fungus containing this substance is a stitch. Morche - a mushroom that does not contain such a poison, so it is more safe. But, despite this, raw can not be used for food, appropriate treatment is necessary. A skillfully cooked dishes - that of the morels, that of the lines - are quite mouth-watering and tasty.
