How many times, watching Hollywood movies about the life of office employees, our compatriots watched how the company's premises were arranged. Surprised that the rooms are usually separated by glass partitions, even the boss's place is not behind the wall and the wooden door, but in a prominent place, if necessary, holding negotiations, closing with blinds.

Application of glass partitions

Construction of partitions

The glass partition itself is a composition of solid glass, the thickness of which reaches 10-12 mm, the webs are connected and fixed with special hardware or installed in the clamping profile. In addition, they are designed with or without a door. Normally, the doors are frameless - pendulum (allow to open in both directions) and sliding doors of automatic and manual opening. The main thing is to determine what qualities a building should have.

In the case of a choice in favor of single- or double-leaf pendulum doors, several types of their fastening are distinguished:

• Without door-to-door fragments;
• A door with a "top light";
• With a "top light" and side windows.

In the first case, all the components of the glass structure join the joint into the joint, without profiles, the gap between them is 2-3 mm. They are fixed in the floor-ceiling version, and the bottom axis - floor closers. In other cases, the fragments of the composition are fastened by connectors for glass and special fragments. Pendulum doors have different fixation - 900, 1050 or do not have any fixation.

Sometimes aluminum partitions are used, the transparent filling of which is glass. As a rule, its thickness is no more than 5-6 mm. To give aesthetic appearance, they are matted, decorated with drawings, a film with images to the owner's taste, and tinted films are used to protect from the sun.

A special kind of processing of glass for partitions provides additional security - with a strong impact glass can break, but at the same time crumble into small fragments, and not into pieces that can cause cuts on the human body.
