Salary is the engine of progress in any production. Its size is one of the main indicators of the success and profitability of the enterprise.

Salary is an incentive (usually in the form of money), which is charged by the owner of the enterprise in accordance with the employment contract and paid to the employee for the work performed on the fact.

When an employee enters into a contract or an employment contract, the owner of the enterprise must familiarize him with the terms of payment and the reasons on the basis of which retention can be made.

On new terms of payment for labor or replacement of acting to the side of deterioration, the employee must notify at least two months before the date of their change or introduction.

Monthly, with the payment of wages, the owner must notify the employee about the following data for the period of labor payment: the total amount of wages, the grounds and amounts of withholdings, the amount to be paid.

The size of the salary directly depends on the degree of complexity and working conditions, the professional and business qualities of the employee, the results of his work and the type of activity of the individual enterprise.

The concept of wages

The salary at the enterprises is formed from three kinds of charges (the basic and additional salary, other payments) which are paid to all employees for the carried out work.

The basic salary is an encouragement (usually in the form of money) for labor activity in accordance with the approved labor standards (development, maintenance, time, official and official duties). It is set in the form of a salary (the tariff rate) and piece rates for working personnel and salaries for employees and managers.

Additional wages are an incentive (usually in the form of money) for the work done, which is done in excess of the approved norms, for success in work, academic degree, novation or for special working conditions. It can have the form of additional payments, bonuses, compensation and guarantee payments related to the performance of certain tasks and functions in the production.

Other payments are presented in the form of fees, bonuses, compensation and other material or monetary payments that do not provide for labor law.

Determining the minimum wage

The minimum wage is the amount of wages defined by law, which is formed due to idle time or unskilled labor. Below this amount, payment for the working rate of the worker (monthly, hourly) can not be made.

The minimum wage does not include surcharges, surcharges, payments of compensations and rewards. The minimum wage is a social state guarantee, which is obligatory for all enterprises.

Organization of payroll payments

The basis for the organization of payment of wages in production is the tariff system, which consists of tariff grids, rates, salary schemes, as well as tariff and qualification directories.

This payment system is designed for the distribution of types of work by the level of complexity, and workers - depending on the qualification and rank on the tariff scale.

Salary to the personnel of enterprises is issued only in banknotes that have legal circulation on the territory of the country. Issuance of promissory notes and receipts is prohibited.

Salary is issued at the place of work. But with the written consent of the employee, the salary can be paid through the bank or by postal transfer to the account specified by him.

Terms of payment of wages

The accrual and payment of wages should be carried out in a timely manner in accordance with legislative acts, normative documents, state, regional and sectoral agreements, labor and collective agreements.

The issuance of wages to each employee must be made regularly. Wages must be paid on working days in time, which are approved by the collective agreement. This payment must be made two times in one month (with an interval of no more than 16 days, taking into account the days off).

If the day of payment of wages coincides with a holiday, weekend or non-working day, then it must be paid the day before. Wages for the entire period of leave must be given to employees no later than three days before it starts.

Guarantees of saving wages

The labor activity of an employee must be paid in accordance with its quality and quantity. At work, there are cases when an employee is distracted from direct labor duties, because of which the payment of his labor may decrease.

For such cases, the law determines the guarantee of retaining wages. These include annual leave, the period of performance of public duties, the time of professional development, the days of medical examination and others.

Sources of material means for labor payment

Sources of funds for the payment of wages to workers of all self-supporting organizations and enterprises is a certain part of the income and other funds that were received as a result of their activities.

For organizations and institutions financed from the state budget, these funds are allocated from the respective budgets, as well as from the part of the income that was received as a result of the activities of other sources.
