Vorontsovsky Park in Moscow

Vorontsovsky Park, like Vorontsovskiye Ponds , has long been considered a favorite and visited place of rest not only for Muscovites themselves, but for the guests of the capital.

He attracts himself through many things. For example, for me - is the presence of a unique architecture and shady alleys that can hide from scorching sunlight even on the most hot summer days.

An important role is played also by a successful location. This park in Moscow is located at the metro station "University" (Novye Cheryomushki, Kaluga branch). In the summer it is open daily from 9:00 to 23:00, and in winter it is two hours shorter, from 10:00 to 22:00. The entrance to its territory is free.

One can not, of course, not mention the fact that the Vorontsov park covers an area of about 40 hectares, and is located on the site of the former estate under the same name "Vorontsovo".

Once in the floodplain of the Chara River, 9 ponds were built, a little later declared a natural monument. Unfortunately, up to now, only 5 reservoirs have been preserved on the territory of the park itself and one is located directly near its border. Few people know that it is from these ponds that the river Ramenka originates.

Vorontsovsky Park Moscow can safely be ranked among the well-known in the world monuments of landscape art of the 18-19 century. At the moment most of the manor buildings and the main building of the estate itself are actively reconstructed and ennobled.

The name of the park also contains many different secrets and mysteries. This place is rich in its history. The thing is that in the course of his life the park managed to change a huge number of owners. In principle, it was named after the boyar Fedor Voronts, who received these lands as a gift in the 16th century. There were legends that once this estate belonged to the well-known to the whole world Count Vorontsov, but this is nothing more than rumors - the famous Count's family has nothing to do with the estate.

To date, the former manor of the boyar Feodor Voronets can without any doubt be ranked among the most visited parks in Moscow. Also, in my opinion, it is quite deservedly considered one of the most well-groomed recreation areas of the city. It seems that everything is created here, as at the behest of a magic wand! The paths, alleys and paths are thought out perfectly, the benches carefully arranged in the most shady and secluded corners of the park.

Among other things, I can not help but note that Vorontsovsky Park is also interesting in terms of architecture. Its remarkable cascade of ponds is in itself quite a rare phenomenon for the park design of the capital of Russia.

Walking along the estate, you can easily meet one, and even several of its permanent residents. In large numbers live here field mice. If you reserve enough nuts in advance, you can practically hand out the squirrel-squanders. The woodpecker is constantly busy. Here and there, his monotonous tapping is heard.

In the Vorontsov park you can find a lesson to enjoy at any time of the year. For example, in the summer, both adults and children, with pleasure swim, sunbathe, ride the water inside a special large ball of goitre, play volleyball or ping-pong.

In winter the park turns into a real paradise for lovers of spending free time actively. On an officially open skating rink, you can rent skates and have a good ride on smooth and smooth ice. For skiers in the park from year to year in the same place is laid ski tracks.

After acquainting myself with the reviews of holidaymakers, I came to the conclusion that this park is able to amaze with its primordiality, peace and tranquility far from just me. As a rule, Vorontsovsky Park is a favorite place for rest, both local residents and Muscovites, even from the most remote areas of the city. Ideal place for a holiday with family and with children.

Curious will be interested in the numerous exhibitions that are continually arranged in the park. The most visited exposition I would call an exhibition called "Tea gardens in the Vorontsovo estate", which takes place annually in the last days of the summer.

If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of a huge city, perhaps Vorontsovsky Park is exactly where you should go. He will allow you to ponder the problems in silence, and the singing of birds and extraordinarily fresh air will necessarily prompt the right decision.
