Victor Nazarov: professional and personal life of the governor of Omsk region

Nazarov Viktor Ivanovich is the second governor of the Omsk Region. He took his post in May 2012. Since that time he has done a lot for his area, for which he received the appreciation of people. However, despite the great popularity, information about him for a long time was outside the journalistic pen. And only recently in an interview Victor Nazarov revealed all the secrets of his professional and personal life.

Youth years

Victor Ivanovich comes from a small village of Ingaly in the Omsk region. He was born on October 18, 1962 in the family of ordinary workers. However, his very childhood passed in the village of Mogilno-Posel'skoe. There, the boy's parents moved in 1968, as his father was offered a more profitable place to work. Victor Nazarov admits that in his youth he was not much different from other peers. Like most Soviet guys, he first graduated from school, then a technical school, and then went to work as a turner at the electrotechnical plant. Karl Marx. Of all the units, Nazarov was lucky to get into the marines. Even today, the politician with a smile recalls the days when he, along with his comrades-in-arms, plowed the vast expanses of the seas and oceans. Moreover, he was even lucky to get on the large-scale military exercises that took place in the Pacific Ocean. Upon his return home, Viktor Nazarov entered the Omsk State University. He dreamed of becoming a prosecutor, and therefore he chose jurisprudence from all possible directions. Six years later, he successfully graduated from the university, and then immediately went to look for a new job.

Up the career ladder

Victor Nazarov built his career pretty quickly. According to the governor, in this he was helped by an unbending will, steel character and faith in his own strength. In a rather short time he changed the following posts:

• Assistant to the prosecutor of the Omsk and Cherlak regions (1988-1990).
• Investigator in the military prosecutor's office (1990-1992).
• Lawyer consultant, cooperated with large companies of the region (1992-2003).
• Deputy head of the department in Omsk LLC Mezhregiongaz (2003-2005).
• General Director of ZAO Omskregiongaz (2005-2012).

Deputy chair

At the end of 2011 in Omsk elections were held for deputies of the Legislative Assembly. Then the voters first saw in the bulletins the name "Victor Nazarov". The biography of the lawyer had a lot of positive references, and therefore he went to the regional Duma without much difficulty. Here he received the position of deputy chairman of the committee on state property of the region.

If we talk about his merits in this post, the first thing to note is that the deputy did his best to conduct gas to all remote villages in Omsk. Thanks to this, 8 out of 10 rural houses have finally been able to connect to the regional gas supply.

Governor's post

For the first time, the post of Omsk governor, Viktor Nazarov, was received thanks to the recommendation of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. This happened on April 3, 2012. A week later the Regional Duma also approved his candidacy. Looking ahead, we note that the politician also won in the next election of the governor, held in September 2015.

At his post, Victor Nazarov has established himself as a responsible and prudent specialist. Under his sensitive supervision there was a smooth economic growth, due to which the region was able to obtain additional financing for its own development. Also, the governor established a special program for lending to small businesses, which made it possible to diversify the sphere of services and goods in Omsk.

Personal life

It is known from the official interview that Viktor Ivanovich is married and has two children. The elder daughter lives separately, and the son still goes to school. All his free time, the politician gives his family and a small hobby: he is fond of fishing, tourism and reading books.
