"Vetonit", plaster: technical characteristics, purpose

Various building mixtures are in demand today as never before. They are light and easy to use, economical, differ in stable composition. But all these and many other important characteristics are inherent in materials produced by a serious and trustworthy manufacturer. That is the trademark Vetonit. The company produces powder mixtures intended for use in construction and finishing works.

Among other types of products produced by the firm "Vetonit", plaster is in great demand among professional builders and private developers. It will be discussed later.

Features of plaster mixes

The company "Vetonit" delivers to the Russian market several types of plaster. It consists mainly of cement, and the filler is limestone, sand, microfiber and other additional components. Today the market sells several types of products of this brand, designed for leveling walls, ceilings and creating a decorative layer outside and inside the premises:

  • Primer. It is used when working with brick and concrete surfaces.
  • Gypsum plaster. A white, non-water-resistant mass intended for manual or machine work. Used to create a surface ready for painting.
  • "Vetonit EP". Non-waterproof plaster mass on a cement-lime basis. It is used if necessary to level a large area in one step. This material is desirable to use only on a solid foundation, but on weak calcareous and cement-lime surfaces it will be ineffective.
  • "Vetonit TT". The basis of the mixture is cement, therefore the material is characterized by water-resistant characteristics. The TT brand of the company "Vetonit" is plaster, which can be called universal, because it can be used to work with surfaces from any materials.
  • Decorative. There are several types for the design of different surfaces.

An important detail: to get a quality final result, you must carefully read the instructions and strictly follow it.

Technical specifications

There are several parameters, according to which the products "Vetonit" (plaster) are classified. Technical characteristics are the most important indicator:

  • Form of issue. Stucco mixture is released as a dry bulk material, which is packed in paper bags. Weight depends on the size of the package and can vary: 5, 20 and 25 kg. Decorative plaster is produced not only in the form of dry matter, but also in the form of a ready-to-use solution. In this case, it is packaged in plastic containers and has a weight of 15 kg.
  • The size of the pellets. The mixture is produced in powder, where the fractions do not exceed 1 mm. In decorative plasters, fractions can be slightly larger - from 1 to 4 mm.
  • The consumption of dry mixtures "Vetonit". The plaster is applied by a layer of 1 mm. Accordingly, for 1 square. M it will be necessary to dilute a solution of 1.2 kg. The thicker the layer, the more dry matter it will take to work.
  • Temperature. Work with the solution can be at a temperature of 5 to 35 degrees. If the package is marked with a winter inscription or an asterisk, the material is intended for winter operation, and it can be used at temperatures up to minus 10 degrees.
  • The viability of the diluted mixture is 2-3 hours.
  • Frost resistance. The dry mix can withstand from 80 to 100 cycles of defrost / freeze.
  • Shelf life is up to 1 year. But this is provided that the material will be stored in a factory package that has retained its integrity. If the bag is torn, the mixture must be placed in a whole package and stored in a dry place.

Characteristics

The composition depends on the type of mixture "Vetonit". Plaster T grade contains organic binders. In the mixture with the designation EP, except for cement, is lime, and plaster L is made on the basis of a polymeric binder.

Thus, for a particular type of work, a material is produced that has the properties necessary for this.

  • Colour. The material has neutral colors: light gray, white, gray. Other shades are not provided, as the plaster is not a decorative coating.
  • Strength. Virtually all types of plasters have the same strength.
  • The thickness of the layer. The maximum value is 3 cm, the minimum value is 2 mm. The exact figure depends on the type of mixture.
  • Adhesion. The material for plastering has a high adhesion strength.

Competitive advantages

Vetonit brand products can be used with almost all known materials: concrete, aerated concrete, foam concrete, silicate or ceramic bricks and other types of building materials. With any of these, the plaster is perfectly bonded. Due to the fact that the composition is characterized by high water resistance, it is used for plastering premises where during operation, an increased level of humidity is expected: bathrooms, warehouses, indoor pools, laundries, etc.

Not only for interior surfaces, Vetonit products are used. The facade plaster is designed for work on surfaces from the outside of buildings, so only components that are capable of resisting any weather effects: frost, heat, high humidity were used for its production. It should be noted that during the solidification the material does not shrink and provides excellent adhesion to the surface.

Features of work with the material

The process itself consists of two stages. The first is the preparatory one. Prepared in the first place to work the surface on which the mixture will be applied. It is cleaned of dirt, leveled, cutting off the protruding elements and sealing irregularities. If necessary, reinforcing material can be used. If you want to work with concrete surfaces, they are pre-treated with a primer.

After that, mix the dry mass with water, strictly following the instructions: use water at room temperature, mix until a uniform consistency is obtained, leave for 10-15 minutes, then mix again and you can start plastering the surfaces. Violation of the proportions is fraught with the fact that the material does not acquire the characteristics given to it, especially if the gypsum plaster "Vetonit" is used, which is more sensitive. If the preparation is incorrect, you can get a result that is different from what you expected.

The treated surface, protected from moisture and wind, is left for 48 hours, after which it proceeds to the next stage of work - re-applying plaster or decorative finishing.

Cost: how much will it cost to buy?

The most important thing that usually interests admirers of products of the brand "Vetonit" is the price. The cost depends on the type of material of interest. For example, a dry mixture of the brand TT costs about 360 rubles for a bag weighing 25 kg, and the material of the mark TTT will cost 370 rubles for a 20 kg bag. If you are interested in a façade mixture of min 1.5 Z from Vetonit, the price will be higher - about 640 rubles per 25 kg.
