Traditionally, most of the local car market is VAZ products. Next considered VAZ-21115, which is to this day one of the most popular cars, despite the fact that it was withdrawn from production for almost 5 years.

The given model is the Russian subcompact sedan of a class B, entering into a family "Samara-2". She is a descendant of VAZ-21099 and represents his restyling version.

The considered car became the first representative of the family "Samara-2", replacing the line "Sputnik / Samara". History

The car began to be produced in 1997. Before 2000, they produced pilot-industrial modifications, and then launched mass production, replacing the engine. At the same time, both cars were produced in parallel until 2004, when the VAZ-21099 was withdrawn from production. In 2007, the engine was replaced, and in 2008 the model underwent an external restyling. In 2012, the car was removed from production.

Body

VAZ-21115 is presented exclusively in a body sedan. Its design inherited the car from its predecessor. At the same time, it was significantly changed by using new body elements. So, the car received a new hood, trunk lid, front fenders, optics, bumpers, spoiler, fairing of door sills, door moldings. In addition, the rear part of the body was reworked, removing the panel between the lanterns, thereby lowering the loading height.

During the restyling of 2008, door moldings were replaced with more narrow ones painted in body color, and the bumper stripes also began to paint in body color.

Engine

During the production, most VAZ-21115 equipped with three four-cylinder engines.

Some other engines are also less common. Particularly noteworthy versions of the "Super-Auto" and rotary. The first was equipped with engines 21124 from the family 2110 and 21126 from Priora. It also features increased rigidity of the body, due to the extension of the front pillars and the modified carcass, and improved quality due to the common bulkhead. Finally, the car has a modified suspension and 14-inch wheels. And if this modification was produced small-scale, so there are such cars on the market, then it is very difficult to find a rotary version of the VAZ-21115 equipped with the engine of the RPD 415.

Transmission

For the car was only available 5-speed manual. The drive is exclusively front.

Chassis

The car completely borrowed the suspension from its predecessor. Front suspension type McPherson, rear - beam.
