The Vasnetsov Museum (Kirov) became, after its discovery in 1910, the first in the northern and north-eastern regions of our country by an art historical institution. Location and history

The museum is located in the capital of Vyatka Krai, the city of Kirov. Its building is located at: ul. Karl Marx, 70. The modern name of the museum was appropriated in 1989. In 1992, next to the main building (it is a mansion built in 1815 for the Vyatka merchant I. Repin), a new building was built. Between them is a monument to the founders of the museum. These artists are VM Vasnetsov and his brother Apollinarii Mikhailovich.

The monument was created with the support of citizens and has a dedication "from grateful fellow countrymen." Also in the museum complex is an exhibition hall, located near the main buildings.
