Information about the location of the camp

The stage of development of mountains by tourists and, strictly speaking, the alpine camp "Uzunkol" originates from 1936, when routes for the first time to the peaks of Gvandru and Talychat were mastered. From the point of view of mountaineering, the main Caucasian ridge is most interesting.

The Uzunkol mountain region is located in Karachaevo-Cherkessia and, in translation from the local dialect, means "long gorge". Accommodation prices

Note that "Uzunkol" is an alpine camp with fairly democratic prices for accommodation and food. Accommodation of tourists is possible with the involvement of three options. The most budgetary of these is the tents in the camp territory. A person charges 270 rubles per day, and the days of actual absence (stay in the mountains) are also paid. The price includes the use of a hot shower. Tents can be personal or rented.

Somewhat more costly accommodation in cottages: the price directly depends on how many people the room is designed for. So, a 6-bed room assumes a fee of 500 rubles per day, and a double room - 620. The most expensive accommodation option is in guest houses. The cost is 1400 rubles per day from one guest.

The "Uzunkol" alpine camp: how to get there?

To get to the place you can also in several ways, it all depends on which transport is initially selected. The camp administration offers the following routes. First, by rail to the cities of Cherkessk or Nevinnomyssk. Then to the village of Khurzuk, and from it - directly up to the camp up the gorge, using the country road. Keep in mind that at the frontier post you will be asked to present a pass.

Secondly, you can get from the city of Mineralnye Vody. From the airport you or the whole group can pick up a special transfer, which has the alpine camp "Uzunkol".

The bus PAZ is placed about 20 people, in the Gazelle - 8-10, in the car - 2-3. The transfer fee is 16 500, 11 500, 6500 rubles, respectively. Prices will be slightly lower if the departure point is Cherkessk or Nevinnomyssk.
