Undefeated Russian boxer Radjab Butaev

A large number of Russian boxers, some time performing in amateur competitions, eventually become professional leagues, where they also succeed. Among them is Rajab Butaev, the champion of the 2013 Summer Universiade, who has been performing in professional rings for two years, and has never been defeated during this time.

First steps amateur

Butaev Radjab Yusupovich was born on December 15, 1993 in the city of Salsk, Rostov Region. Since childhood, parents have instilled in him a love of sports, and even at school age, the Russian began to go to the sports section of boxing. Talented Rajab coaches saw immediately - a brisk boxer with a fighting character and staunchness gave more hope for a brighter future. As a result, Butaev often took part in junior competitions, where he was among the best sportsmen of the tournament.

Way to success

The first major competition, where Butaev Rajab took part, was the Russian Junior Championships in middleweight. Confidently having passed all tournament grid and becoming the champion of the country, the Russian has got to structure of a national command for the future superiority of Europe. At his first international championship, Radjab once again demonstrated his talent, also taking a gold medal.

A year later, Butaev made his debut at the adult level, appearing at the Russian boxing championship in the middleweight category, up to 64 kg. Then the boxer was able to confidently reach the finals, where he lost to the Novosibirsk sportsman Armen Zakaryan in a bitter struggle, also just started his career path. Nevertheless, the athlete's potential, given his young age, character and junior success, allowed him to be among the candidates for a trip to the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan.

To such an important tournament, Rajab Butaev, approached the most inclined and ready to fight. The Russians began to make the first steps in the tournament grid in the 1/16 finals - as an opponent he got the Azerbaijani athlete Gaybatulla Hajialiyev, whom the "owner" of the ring did not leave a single chance. In the quarterfinals among the defeated Rajab was Sanzharbek Rakhmanov from Uzbekistan. Despite the confident victory of the opponent in the previous stage over the technical Mexican boxer, in the duel with Rakhmanov the Russian hero also did not experience serious problems, becoming one of the main contenders for the "gold" of the Universiade.

In the semi-final Butaev unscathed with the Ukrainian Denis Berinchik, and in the finals he demonstrated excellent technique, leaving no chance to the Armenian athlete Arthur Kirajyan. Thanks to this victory, Radjab brought another Russian medal to the national team of the highest dignity, and became quite popular both in his homeland and abroad.

Go to the "pro"

In 2014, Rajab Butaev, the champion of the Universiade, decided to develop personal success and take "gold" in the Russian boxing championship. Rich experience and a constant desire for development allowed the 21-year-old athlete to confidently add to his piggy bank another personal award of the highest standard. A year later, Rajab re-entered the national championship and was the main favorite, easily reaching the finale. But defeated a year earlier in the final battle of the championship Andrei Zamkova at this time did not allow the Rostov athlete to succeed.

After the battle, Radjab Butaev together with a number of experts called the decision of the judges unfair, and in November 2015 he signed a contract with the American promotional company Fight Promotions, thereby moving into the category of professional boxing.

Professional career

The debut in the world arena of professionals for Rajab took place in March 2016. The rival of the Russian was American Robert Siyam, who could not last 80 seconds in the battle against Butaev. Already at the beginning of the second minute the debutant from Russia sent the opponent into a knockout. Three weeks later, the second battle of the athlete took place - in the role of his counterpart was another American - Taikim Sadler. And again the battle did not reach even the second round - a minute and a half later, Rajab won, thanks to a technical knockout.

To diversify the countries representing rivals of the Russian, promoters managed already in the third duel - in October, 2016 on a ring with Butaev the Dominican boxer Jonatan Batista has left, but also he could not finish fight. In the second minute of the fourth round, Radjab sent an opponent to a knockout, celebrating the third Victoria in succession. The final battle for the Russian athlete at the moment was a meeting with the Hungarian Gabor Gorbic, which ended with the victory of Rajab by the decision of the judges. This success allowed Batuev to become North American champion in the NABF version in the 1 st middle weight, and this boxer does not intend to stop.

Personal life

About the personal life of a talented boxer for a long time, almost nothing is known. But in 2016, the news about the wedding of the Russian athlete thundered all over the country. On August 28, Radjab Butaev got engaged to his beloved Madina. A happy couple is just starting a joint life and has no children yet. Despite such a heavy sport as boxing, the wife supports her husband at all competitions, however Madina prefers not to come to the fights themselves.
