These 5 movies inspired criminals to kill

Serial killers, killers and psychopaths have always been around us. We either saw them live, or heard about them in the news, or read books and so on. Previously, serial killers did not even think about watching horror movies. Why do we love such films?

Why do we do this? What for? Because horror films fascinate us and at the same time frighten us.

While we, the horror fans, can most likely be proud of the ability to share reality and fiction, but the obvious fact is that art inspires and unstable personalities. In turn, terrible crimes make filmmakers shoot new stories. And what they entail - nobody knows.

The lines are definitely blurred. Here are five notorious examples of crazy people who did not just kill someone, but did it with incredible sophistication. At least, they did this, claiming that they found their inspiration in specific paintings.

"American Psycho"

As early as February 2004, the eighth-grader Jaime Rodrigo Guof did not expect that this could happen to him in the school toilet. But it happened. 14-year-old Michael Hernandez was in the restroom many times, there he compiled lists of those who were about to be deprived of life. This was not an exception. He inflicted more than 40 blows on Hofu with a knife. After he was arrested, Hernandez confessed that he was directly influenced by the films "American Psycho" and "Silence of the Lambs".

Since then, all schools in the city have strengthened control over the behavior of children during classes, and the school where this terrible incident occurred in the first week of February marks the "Week of Peace" in honor of the late Gough.

Michael Hernandez is currently serving a life sentence.

"Scream"

Strange as it may seem, many people realize how powerful and psychologically strong the film was shot by Wes Craven. When the film "Scream" came out on the big screen, the first thing that immediately struck people in the eye, this is how realistically depicted death, how accurately the storyline was built. The impression was created that the viewer came to the cinema to watch the film, but he was at a friend's party. In fact, it was very realistic.

Many people will look at this tape, they'll get scared, scream, and forget, but some people come up with scary thoughts. Unfortunately, this came to the mind of the 24-year-old Thierry Jaradin, who attacked his neighbor, 15-year-old Alice Camber, with a knife.

Ironically, Jaradin was literally dressed like a ghost, waving two kitchen knives, attacking, making horrible sounds similar to those that broke from the mouth of Casey Becker (character Drew Barrymore in the first part of "Scream"). He grabbed the neighbor by the neck, closed his mouth, continued to strike the abdominal area, which turned out to be more than 30.

After the frank recognition of the crime, Jaradin noted that the murder was motivated by the original trilogy of the film "Scream".

"Natural Born Killers"

Not everyone can safely watch this feverish, psychedelic slaughter of Oliver Stone. Among other things, there are many bed scenes in it, which simply cause horror. This all pushes the viewer to commit a large-scale murder, people start to hate the possibilities of a person. Sarah Edmondson and Ben Darras, however, did not feel embarrassed when they watched this film, rather, they were imbued with this atmosphere.

Edmondson and Darras "became famous" as awful teenagers in Oklahoma. Edmondsson was the judge's daughter with a beautiful predetermined future, while Darras was an aimlessly wandering addict. But the film "Natural Born Killers" combined two opposites, which resulted in bloody murders.

Terrible murders began in March 1995, when 17-year-old Darras shot the clerk in the store. The two of them went on the run, and in a few days the 18-year-old Edmondson took part in an ominous act - she also shot the clerk in the store. The clerk survived, but as a result became disabled.

Returning home, Edmondson and Darras immediately began to show off their brief but deadly spree. Needless to say, during the year, both went to jail.

Currently, Darras is serving a life sentence. Surprisingly, Edmondson was released in 2010, she was released on parole.

Dexter

This is a great show for you, if you, of course, are a fan of a well-written plot and to some extent are able to justify the person who committed the terrible crime. The main character kills only the "bad guys". Why, then, 17-year-old Andrew Conley strangled his 10-year-old brother to death? Probably because the child was sick.

Conley, who freely admitted that he was fascinated by the thought of murder, called this film a great inspiration. He claimed that when he killed, he felt like Dexter.

Apparently, he forgot that Dexter was killing only the bad guys, and it's almost impossible to imagine that his own 10-year-old brother was that, he was just a 10-year-old boy who probably just looked at his older brother.

"Interview with a Vampire"

First, Daniel Sterling did not kill his girlfriend Lisa Stelwagen, with whom he lived under the same roof for almost 8 years, but he is sure that this was a damn bold attempt at an ideal murder. Just a few hours after watching the movie "Interview with the Vampire", Sterling pounced on his half-awake girlfriend and said the words that vampires usually say: "Today you will die. I'm going to kill you and drink your blood. "

After some time, Sterling stabbed her, stabbed 7 with a knife, and literally drained blood from her fresh wound.
