Therapeutic sea buckthorn. Cooking recipes
To date, almost every gardener tries to plant seabuckthorn on the site, because it has medicinal properties. So, fruits and juice have a bactericidal effect, stimulate the process of digestion, and aromatic oil heals wounds, burns, trophic ulcers. This berry is rich in polyvitamins, iron, manganese and many other macro- and microelements. Sea-buckthorn, the recipes of which will be given below, is a good addition to the treatment of colds.
Sea-buckthorn oil is prepared as follows: juice is squeezed out of fresh berries, cake is dried and crushed in a coffee grinder. Then it is poured with warmed sunflower oil from the calculation of 1: 2 and left for one day, after which the oil is drained and used for medicinal purposes.
Very good wine, jelly and jam made from such berries as sea buckthorn. Recipes for their preparation will be considered in detail. However, before this you need to say that the fruits are consumed and fresh, grinded with sugar in a ratio of 1: 1 (while the mixture is stored in the refrigerator) or frozen.
Consider how to prepare dishes from sea buckthorn.
1. Jelly from sea-buckthorn.
Ingredients: one liter of sea-buckthorn juice with pulp, nine hundred grams of sugar.
The juice is heated on low heat, add sugar to it, cook on high heat until the mixture reaches a temperature of one hundred and five degrees. Hot mass is poured into pre-prepared dishes, chilled and tightly closed with a lid.
2. Walnuts and sea buckthorn (jam).
Ingredients: one kilogram of berries, two hundred grams of nuts, one and a half kilos of sugar, two glasses of water.
Nuts are crushed to the state of cereals, put them in sugar syrup and cook for twenty minutes. Then add the fruits of sea-buckthorn and boil for another half an hour.
3. Milk and sea-buckthorn (recipes of Ukrainian cuisine).
Ingredients: five hundred grams of milk, sea buckthorn juice with pulp.
Milk is cooled, add to it five spoons of sea buckthorn juice along with sugar, whisked with a blender. The drink is served with a cold in large wine glasses.
4. Sweet pastries from sea-buckthorn berries.
Ingredients: five hundred grams of sea-buckthorn, three hundred grams of flour, two hundred grams of sugar, half a glass of milk, one and a half tablespoons of starch and baking powder, one spoonful of soda, a pinch of salt, and three spoons of vegetable oil.
Berries are washed, grinded with a sieve so as to get one glass of juice. To it add milk and butter. Flour, soda, sugar, starch, salt and baking powder combine and mix well, add the juice with milk and mix again.
Forms for baking covered with parchment, lay out the dough, on top of which lay several berries. Bake in the oven for thirty minutes, then take out the baking and cool.
Thus, sea-buckthorn, the recipes of which are quite diverse, has not only good taste characteristics, but also medicinal properties. It has long been used in folk medicine as a cold remedy, and with its help, healed wounds. To date, this berry is no less popular and is used both in cooking, and in cosmetology and medicine.
