The problem of limited resources and possible solutions

The current problem of limited resources is becoming more urgent. The needs of people are increasing, and this is due to the increase in population, the development of science, the emergence of new technologies and many other factors. Therefore, a situation arose when many resources, mostly non-renewable, became less accessible. The dilemma, which forms the limitless needs and limited resources, and tries to solve humanity.

To date, many minerals have almost exhausted their reserves. But even those that are in sufficient numbers are finite. All the benefits that are needed by modern society require the expenditure of an ever greater amount of resources. There is a real problem of limited resources and even their shortages.

Various types of resources are used for the production of economic goods . The most important of them include natural factors. This is what the planet and the environment give us. This includes water, land, air and climatic conditions.

Labor resources are also necessary for the normal functioning of society and the production of economic goods. This is one of the main factors of the production process.

There are also production resources represented by the means of production and the money supply.

Information can also be attributed to the resources of production.

Considering these categories, it can be noted that some of them are fairly easy to restore or reproduce. But many resources, especially natural and climatic, can be destroyed irretrievably.

Therefore, the problem of limited resources became the most acute.

Resources are divided into two categories: reproducible and non-reproducible. It depends on the ability to replenish their stocks. Some resources are rare, that is, they are found in a limited number. This also creates a deficit in their use.

Some resources can be replenished, but it takes a lot of time and sometimes people help.

For example, land resources can be restored. The problem of limited resources here exists only because of the geographic features of the region. As a result of irrational land use, the soil properties deteriorate. In this case, agricultural techniques are used to restore them. But if this problem is not resolved in time, then the land can be ruined and become ineffective.

Particularly difficult is the extraction of minerals. Old deposits have exhausted their reserves. For example, oil reserves, which are extracted and used in large quantities, have significantly decreased. New deposits of this mineral are to be found at great depths, which complicates its extraction. In addition, this natural resource is not reproduced and it is necessary to look for an alternative to eliminate the deficit.

The limitations of resources and the boundlessness of needs poses new challenges for mankind. First of all, this is the rational use of the available potential. Also, new sources of resources needed for the normal existence of society should be discovered and developed.
