The most potent analgesic is ketorol: indications for use

Increasingly, modern man resorts to potent analgesics (analgesics). And really, is it worth the pain, when you can quickly and without harm remove it? And without harm, is it? To answer these questions, let's take for example ketorol, indications for its use: when it should be taken, and when it is better to abstain.

Most of the children of the 21st century are concerned with dental and headache, muscle pain, severe pain after serious operations, and serious illnesses also appear on the oncology. In all these cases, a strong remedy is required. Among modern drugs, this requirement is met only a few: niz, ketorol, nurofen. These drugs are sold without a prescription. A prescription is required for narcotic analgesics (such as morphine, codeine). Although the above pain medications are drugs: codeine in nurofen. The most safe are drug-free analgin, citramone, ibuprofen and paracetamol. They are not addictive, but in severe cases are not effective.

The most effective doctors, and even users of painkillers, call ketorol and its derivatives (ketorolac, dolac, ketanes, thoradol). Ketorol - an anesthetic, which has a very strong effect, acts on the body by analogy with morphine, is at the same time more dangerous than others.

Without a doctor, it is generally not recommended to take it. And because the doctors are cautious, and the pains are "tempted" to try something stronger, let's see if it is worth taking ketorol. Indications for use are: postoperative period, accompanied by severe pain; With advanced oncological diseases; Diseases of the musculoskeletal and connective tissue, i.e. Muscle pain (myalgia), pain in the nerves (neuralgia), joint pain (arthralgia). It can be used to relieve pain with dislocations, sprains, other serious injuries, as well as with radiculitis, rheumatism. Ketorol is effective in toothache. Although in some cases it is better to take Nize (to remove a slight toothache it will be enough). With abdominal pain, do not take ketorol, the indications for use in the drug instructions do not include these cases. It is also not wise to remove a headache with such a strong drug.

In addition to the analgesic effect, ketorol has anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. However, the drug is not used to treat such diseases, but only solely for the purpose of relieving pain in inflammatory diseases and others accompanied by fever.

The drug does not cause dependence on it. However, sometimes there is a decrease in mindfulness, the ability to react quickly, drowsiness, decreased visual clarity (these are side reactions). Behind the wheel sit down just not worth it.

Produced in tablets and ampoules for intramuscular injections. The injections, of course, will work harder.

To endure the pain, of course, is not worth it, but also to resort to potent drugs, when you can cope with safer means not! Scientists knowingly sound the alarm: recent studies have shown that a constant intake (often 1 time in two weeks) of analgesics leads to the opposite result (provokes pain).

You should always carefully read the contraindications. In many cases, patients are contraindicated as an analgesic namely ketorol. Indications for its use are a much shorter list than contraindications. Among them, asthma, ulcers, blood clotting disorders, bleeding, severe hepatic failure, renal, cardiac failure. Pregnant and breast-feeding, children under 16, it generally can not be taken! It is contraindicated for the elderly.

Not to mention the side effects, most of which are also difficult to endure, like severe pain (spasms, burning, vomiting, diarrhea, or vice versa, constipation, swelling, headache).

Always remember: pain is a signal from the body that signals the need for treatment. Therefore, having removed the pain, do not forget about it, you need to find out the reasons and go through the treatment if necessary.
