The history of the Moscow metro: "Zhulebino"
By the autumn of 2013, a new metro station - "Zhulebino" - should open. The construction of the line began in 2011 and according to the latest data it will open by the beginning of the school year. This station should improve transport services for Muscovites living in the Zhulebino district.
Its opening is also planned for the fall of this year. Thus, almost the whole population of the district will live within walking distance from the metro.
The tunneling is almost complete. And the builders are already engaged in decorating the vestibules and exits.
The opening of the metro Zhulebino and Lermontovsky Prospekt will help unload the station Vykhino, which at the peak time sit around 27 thousand people. Many of them get to it from Zhulebino by land transport.
The exits from the metro station "Zhulebino" will be on the streets: the aircraft designer Mil, Tarkhansky and General Kuznetsov. Near the exits from the metro there will be public transport stops. The station will be equipped with conveniently located staircases and lifts for people with disabilities, thanks to which they can get to the metro from either side of the street.
The color scale of the walls and ceilings of the vestibules and the transitions of the future station will consist of 9 shades, changing from green to yellow and red-orange. The rest of the interior elements will be executed in neutral colors, so as not to distract attention from the main color theme. Also in the design will be used stainless steel, transparent partitions and glass elements.
The station will have one island platform of rectangular shape. Its length will be 163 m, and width - 12 m. Neighboring stations are currently under construction and have the names Lermontovsky Avenue and Kotelniki. The construction of all three stations is under special control of the Moscow Government, since the metro stations in Zhulebino and Kotelniki are of great importance, because they will significantly facilitate the transport of these areas to the center, and also reduce the flow of land transport in this direction.
There is very little time left. Soon residents of the Zhulebino district and the city of Kotelniki will wait for the long-awaited opening of the metro and will be able to quickly get to work without using the ground public transportation and not idle in traffic jams on a private car. And children can quickly and conveniently reach educational institutions, without spending a few hours on the road.
In general, the prospects are bright. And as everything will be in fact, we will find out very soon.
