The famous Shuvalovsky park

Shuvalovsky Park, as well as many outstanding sights of the Northern Capital, its name received in honor of the founder.

It so happened that in St. Petersburg a huge number of parks and other art treasures were given to the names of wealthy merchants or wealthy landlords. Shuvalovsky Park is not an exception. He got the name from Ivan Shuvalov, who received such a large plot of land when distributing titles.

Despite such a generous gift of that time (an excellent forest park zone of more than a hundred hectares in size), the count did not deal with his newly-made possessions. Children he did not appear, but only for himself he did not want to try.

Only after a certain time (after the count's death, the land was transferred to his nephew, who also did not show any special initiative towards the gift), the park eventually became the property of an enterprising Frenchman. He became the first owner of these lands not only on paper.

But Polje (that's the name of this active Frenchman) also lived not very long, although from his submission the woman, widowed for the second time, took up sketches of this park and decided to order the erection of a memorial tomb. The project involved the brother of the famous architect Briullov.

After the erection of the memorial, the church grew close to the church, afterwards it was consecrated, having received the name in honor of the ap. Peter and Paul.

But besides the aforementioned crypt there are other unique sights. Shuvalovsky Park is very rich in them. Take at least the famous Vorontsov-Dashkov Palace. So it happened that it was not possible to appreciate all the splendor of this building because of the curtailing of the works. They did not have time to organize interior decoration of premises, as the revolution prevented.

At the moment, the room is not empty. It works quite successfully for the benefit of Russian science. At the present moment the hull of Institute of high frequency currents is located here. Thus it is proved that the majestic buildings erected in the last century do not submit to time, continuing to decorate the modern world, while perfectly fitting into today's Petersburg. Shuvalovsky Park is not limited to this palace, so let's go further.

If you went here not only to be photographed against the backdrop of the most beautiful old houses and study the surroundings, then by all means walk along the paths with centuries-old oak sorcerers, gain energy, breathe in this air of history, stock up positive emotions, and then you can start the next working week safely. Do not forget to return to Shuvalovsky Park next time in order to get a new share of positive, pleasant memories, as well as gain strength.

In addition to fluffy fir trees and spreading oaks, you can observe the transformation of this park to the very best, because in the near future the authorities of St. Petersburg plan to re-equip the site in a comfortable full recreation area. Shuvalovsky Park is planned to equip children's playgrounds, as well as sports grounds, attractions will be brought here, and a new cinema will be built.
