Syphilitic rash: signs and treatment

Syphilis is a fairly common disease that is transmitted through sexual contact with a sick person. The complexity of diagnosis and treatment is that it is often taken for a completely different disease (eg, gonorrhea, myco-ureaplasma, chlamydia, etc.).

The causative agent of infection is pale treponema, which moves in different directions (translationally, rotationally, undulatingly and pendulously). It should be noted that the infection is most often transmitted through sperm, secrets, excreta of the patient, with breast milk. Allocate a variety of household syphilis, when the disease spreads through household items and personal hygiene (dishes, towels, toothbrush).

As a rule, a month after infection penetrates the body, the first sign is a syphilitic rash. First, the syphilitic rash is a small spot of a reddish hue, which gradually turns into an ulcer. Additional signs of infection are general malaise, joint pain, fever, weakness, headaches. After 1-2 weeks the rash passes, but the disease continues to affect the human body. After a while the syphilitic rash appears again and again, very often it lasts 3-5 years or even decades.

With secondary syphilis, there are already other types of rash: pale pale yellow, pustules (purulent rash) of cyanotic or brownish hue, leucoderma. And, often on the body of a sick person there are several types of rashes at once, the elements of which are carriers of infection.

In tertiary syphilis, the rash takes the form of tubercles and gums of a reddish-cyanotic color. By touch, it is easy to identify seals that can be grouped into rings or be single. The healing of the hum is gradual: first a sore is formed, after which it dries up, and a scar remains on the surface of the skin.

Of course, if there is a rash around the nipple or on any other part of the body that causes suspicion, then it is necessary to go to a medical institution where specialists will conduct a comprehensive study. As a rule, the main treatment is the use of antibiotic therapy. The patient is prescribed a course of antibiotics, the action of which is destructively reflected in the causative agent of the infection.

It should be noted that syphilitic rash in the early stages of syphilis is treated with penicillin preparations. When mass treponem death, the patient may experience a side effect that manifests itself in the form of fever, nausea and vomiting, headaches, etc. In this case, the patient is prescribed an aspirin-containing drug.

It is important in the treatment of syphilis to exclude the presence of other diseases that may appear against the background of the first. For example, very often syphilis increases the risk of human HIV infection, as there is a sharp decrease in the body's immune defenses. Therefore, it is advisable to conduct a full course of treatment and eliminate all infections within the pathogen.

Preventive measures are quite effective. These include carrying out preventive testing, personal hygiene (using personal care products), the absence of promiscuous sexual intercourse without the use of contraceptives (condoms), etc. There are medications that can be treated within two hours after infection. This is necessary, for example, with personal contact with a person on whose body there is a syphilitic rash or ulcers. The causative agent of the infection is the first clock is on the surface of the skin, so it can be easily disposed of.
