Superficial gastritis

There is one disease that periodically affects about 50% of the population. This is gastritis. As a rule, the disease is acute or chronic. Chronic gastritis has a large number of varieties. It can be with a parallel lesion of glands, atrophic, erosive and superficial.

Surface gastritis can be classified as an inflammation of the internal gastric surface, which is characterized by some dystrophic changes in the epithelium of the upper layer, and also has a pronounced endoscopic symptomatology. Surface gastritis is characterized, mainly, by damage to the upper layer of the mucosa without affecting the inner layers. That is why this disease is considered an initial or mild form of gastritis.

Superficial gastritis is a disease that is quite common, and its origin does not depend on age at all. By severity of the disease, it can be weak, moderate and strong. The degree of severity is determined by the level of vulnerability of the mucosa, by its puffiness and by the location of the foci of inflammation. Superficial gastritis symptoms are similar to other types of this disease. This is nausea, sometimes reaching vomiting, heartburn, pain in the upper abdomen, a slightly unpleasant aftertaste may appear in the mouth, as well as various digestive disorders.

The diagnosis of the disease begins with an x-ray examination, which determines the extent of the change in the gastric mucosa, and also excludes the likelihood of peptic ulcer and cancer. A more accurate diagnosis is established with gastroscopy.

Superficial gastritis, the treatment of which should be carried out at the initial stage, quickly leads to recovery. And when the condition of early diagnosis is fulfilled, as a rule, it does not have any irreversible consequences. In order for the disease to pass the most mildly, it is necessary to establish its main factor. When treating a patient, medications are usually prescribed that have an enveloping property that soothe the gastric mucosa and promote its rapid recovery. And also some sedatives are often prescribed, normalizing and calming the nervous system.

Treatment of such a disease, as a superficial gastritis, is aimed at completely suppressing and eliminating some pathogenic factors, as well as preventing possible relapses of the disease. Before starting treatment, it is recommended to perform a certain cleansing of the intestine, using enemas. If the disease occurs in an acute form, then it is necessary to limit food intake to the maximum. Mucous will heal much faster if a few days a person will only drink. It is recommended to drink various herbal teas and mineral water. After a certain time, you can gradually add food in the form of a sparing diet. In the dishes prepared, all traumatic factors must be completely excluded: it can not be sharp, dry, salty and spicy, fatty, fried, and also sour and alcohol in any form. When a gastritis of any form is categorically contraindicated smoking.

In addition to dieting, the patient should also have a relaxed life schedule and, preferably, a daily regimen, nervous overload should be avoided. Food is taken at a strictly defined time and in small portions. Overeating should be avoided, and motor activity is recommended in order to maintain motor function of the stomach. Also, many folk remedies are useful, the recipes of which can be found in huge numbers in medical journals and the Internet.
