Stefanovich Elena: biography, books, creativity and reviews

Few people did not hear the name of Elena Stefanovich. Honored worker of culture of Chita region, experienced journalist, member of the Union of Russian Writers, author of amazing books and just a strong woman. If you are not familiar with this writer, we offer you this article.

Biography Stefanovich

A famous Transbaikalian writer and poetess was born in October 1951 in the Magadan Region. Its homeland is Susuman settlement. Elena Stefanovich's parents are uninhibited prisoners, people with a difficult fate. Mother - Tatiana Stefanovich - at the age of twelve she received a prison sentence for being late for a job. To get a food card, she was forced to "add" a couple of years and work at a military plant in Moscow. The father of the writer, Viktor Stefanovich, was imprisoned at the age of 14 for stealing a loaf of bread.

From her native village little Lena moved with her parents to Chita. Life was not unhealthy, the writer later recalled: stay on the Kolyma broke his father, he often drank, made scandals.

In her school years, Elena was carried away by journalism. First, her materials were published in a school newspaper, later the schoolgirl went to the city level. And her creative work has repeatedly sounded on the radio. After the time came, which Elena Stefanovich described in detail in his novel "The Durdom."

"Schizophrenia from childhood"

About herself, the writer repeatedly said that from an early age she did not want to be the same as the others. In the Soviet years, at the time of "equalization" for their difference from others and attempts to stand out from the crowd, the girl repeatedly "received kicks". Because of her incompatibility with the world around her, Elena tried to voluntarily leave her life. After school graduation she swallowed the pills. After this, the girl was placed in a psychiatric hospital, where she was put a terrible diagnosis - "schizophrenia since childhood."

Already in adulthood Elena V. admitted - she was unbelievably lucky. Many hospital patients became disabled due to "treatment" of electroshock, neuroleptics and insulin shocks, but she managed to keep her sanity and memory healthy.

The treatment was lengthy, but periodically the girl was prescribed for a short while. In one of these extracts, Elena met her future husband, Victor. Two years later, in 1973, the couple had a son, but because of Elena's compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital, Maxim spent the first three years of his life at the Children's Home.

Trial leave

Only in 1977 Stefanovich managed to persuade the doctors to write her out even on a trial holiday. This forced treatment in the hospital for the insane ended - more Elena has never been treated by psychiatrists. In 1985, the diagnosis was recognized by doctors as erroneous and withdrawn.

Talented journalist

The psychiatric hospital did not destroy Elena Stefanovich's talent. After discharge she literally lived on business trips. A journalist with a clearly expressed civil position - that is how colleagues and bosses spoke about her. Endless volleys, interview records, night transcripts, meetings with readers and appearances on television - in this mode, a significant part of Stefanovich's life passed. Elena worked on the radio of Chita for more than 20 years! She managed to head the city newspaper "Elena".

Once Elena Stefanovich even took part in political elections. In addition, she was twice declared the "Person of the Year". In the treasury of the awards of this amazing woman there is a medal "Honored Worker of Culture of the Chita Region".

Poems by Elena Stefanovich

The first poetry collection of Elena V. published in 1981. It was called "Create Yourself." Four years later, the same East Siberian publishing house published a new book by the poetess - "Delusion". In 1990, the collection "With love and longing" was published. The next book of poems "On the String of the Bullying Epoch" was published in 2001 and is devoted to the fiftieth anniversary of Elena Viktorovna Stefanovich.

"The madhouse"

The prosaic debut was the book "The Madhouse" (1989). Her circulation was about one million copies. This story is autobiographical. In it Elena talks about herself, her life path. Crime against the person, personal tragedy, attempts of psychiatrists to give out a bright talent for frustration - that's what this book is about Elena Stefanovich. For this story in the nineties of last century, even wanted to shoot the series, but because of the coup filming did not take place. Readers unanimously repeat: the story forced a different angle to look at the problems of "yellow houses", taught empathy.

Critics in their responses or praise Elena for her frankness, or vice versa - are angry, saying that literature should not be so heavy. The writer calmly responds to all the accusations in her address - it is better to appeal to other writers for entertainment literature.

«The girl from KVD»

Four years later, the writer published a new book - "A Girl from the KVD." Elena Stefanovich shows life as it really is. And the sight is not for the faint-hearted. The great tragedy of a little man, really happened, a story that can not be told without first changing the names ... The book is full of bitterness, pain, cruelty and meanness.

Reviews about this book are also ambiguous. Someone says that there are too many "blackies" here, and someone is crying over this story. One thing is certain: this book leaves no one indifferent.

Chmary

In 1996, Elena Stefanovich released the third prose book. Like the two previous ones, this story tells about the events that took place in real life. The main character is an ordinary boy, whose life was broken by scoundrels. In the "darkness" of the hero, the books were turned only because he was not strong and punchy. And because there was not a person close to him who could intercede for him.

"About you and me"

In 2000 Elena and her son Maxim published a book "About You and Me". This work is very unusual: it is a collection of letters that the mother and son write to each other. On the pages of the story Elena allows herself to be sincere in her feelings, she surprises with her sincerity.

From previous books this differs in that it does not keep the reader in constant tension, and there is also no series of tragic events.

Barak

A small story called "Barak" Elena Viktorovna released in 2007. Inspired by the writer for this life in a barrack, built in 1901. The author warns - all the characters of the story are quite real people, its neighbors. Only their names are replaced with others - so as not to offend anyone. Life without beautiful wrappings, which shows everything - inverted values, despair, alcoholism ... Like the first books, this edition is not suitable for those who are weak in spirit, because the story described in it is too heavy.

Lom-Baba

In 2009, Elena released another story, in which she tries to understand: how from a gentle, feminine and soft creation, a "scrap-baba" has emerged, living only for herself, having no children and strong relationships. The author claims - the cause is on the surface: the whole thing is in "incubators", bearing such names as "creche", "kindergarten", "school". It is here that girls and boys sit on the neighboring pots, learn to embroider at the same time with a cross and work on the machine. The bottom line is averaged sex, a real catastrophe.

"Let's talk heart to heart"

About twenty years ago, Elena Stefanovich in the newspaper "BNV" was leading the usual for that time rubric - "Let's talk heart to heart". Hundreds of readers turned to her for advice. Later, after reading the old issues of the newspaper, Elena realized that many things had changed in her life, but one thing remained unchanged: those problems that worried people. Betrayal and love, friendship and separation, searching for the meaning of life ... In order to help readers, Elena Stefanovich collected the most difficult questions under one cover and published them as a separate book.

The writer says that her advice can be unacceptable from the point of view of science, but the advice she gives does not come from the mouth of an educator or a psychologist - readers are answered by the writer. And he does it honestly and fairly.
