Species of feline breeds: Persian chinchilla

The image of a cute and fluffy animal is the first thing that comes to a person's mind when he hears the phrase "Persian chinchilla". In fact, these are not rodents at all, but the most real Persian cats. Its name, as one would have guessed, was in honor of the South American rodent, or rather, the color of his fur. Although it would be more appropriate to compare these cats with Arctic fox, who also has white as the main color of wool, and only the ends of the wool are black. While in chinchillas, on the contrary, the main color is black, and white is an additional color. In addition to black, another color of Persian chinchillas can be chocolate, lilac, golden, blue or tortoiseshell. The debate over whether the Persian chinchilla is a separate breed has long been conducted in the US, but it is still believed that these cats are nothing but a species of Persians. Therefore, there are no separate categories for them at exhibitions. And yet it is difficult among the members of the cat family to find such a beautiful color as the Persian chinchilla has. Photos of these beautiful animals are excellent proof of this.

Features of behavior

Just like other representatives of the Persian cat family , chinchillas have a remarkably calm and balanced disposition. These affectionate and trusting creatures love to be in the company of people. Despite the characteristics of a personal nature, they are always on good terms with their masters. Among other breeds of cats, it is difficult to find such caring mothers, who are Persian chinchillas. Kittens do not cause any trouble to their mother or masters. Unless care of their fur requires special care and attention, however, this applies to all without exception the Persians. Some phlegmatic nature inherent in the nature of these cats, however, does not prevent them from being very active during the game.

Features of care

The Persian chinchilla differs from other breeds in strong health, endurance and unpretentiousness. However, she did not manage to avoid the defects typical of all members of the Persian family, namely, deformation of the nasal septum and blockage of lacrimal ducts. With the fact of the peculiar shape of the nose of a cat, it remains only to accept, but to solve the problem with secretions from the eyes of any master is capable - it is enough only to regularly inspect and clean the areas around the eyes and nose of the animal.

Caring for a fur coat is the main difficulty in keeping these cats. The Persian chinchilla has a long thick coat, so it needs daily care. Such cats need more washing and combing. Before proceeding directly to combing, use a comb with rare teeth to remove the coils. Then, with the usual scallop, the dead hair is combed out, only after that you can go to combing with a natural hair brush. Observance of these simple rules will help keep your cat's fur in perfect order, thus avoiding the need to cut out the coils.
