Reviews of the movie

Critics appreciated the creation of director Peter Weir, but how did the audience react to the film "The Society of Dead Poets"?

Comments on the picture are very positive. The IMDb site has a rating of 8.0. First, spectators are intrigued by an extravagant title. Secondly, they are attracted to the cast.

For many spectators, the picture has become inspiring. They are imbued with the desire of the main characters to change their lives for the better. This film finds echoes in the souls of those people who at least once in their lives felt that their time is running out of their fingers for nothing, but they can not understand why. About those who suffered because they did not dare to be themselves. And then, the director sharply raised the age-old problem of fathers and children, thereby greatly expanding the potential audience of the tape.

But there are spectators who were skeptical about the "Society of Dead Poets". Some complain that John Keating is simply a barbaric method of teaching, but because it is strange from such a person to make a hero. Others argue that they "figured out" the idea, the idea and the whole plot literally from the first minutes, so it was not interesting to look further.

Nevertheless, if there is a desire to see the old film, the creators of which tried to fill the story with meaning, in contrast to modern Hollywood works, the "Society of Dead Poets" would do just fine.
