Sexual infections in women: causes and effects

The cause of many gynecological diseases are sexual infections in women. Often it happens that the inflammatory process is asymptomatic and has indistinct signs of its development. Such infections can affect many different organs and systems of the body. If their treatment is delayed or done incorrectly, they can lead to the development of female infertility.

Sex infections in women have a number of symptoms that are traditional in other diseases of the reproductive system. So, for them pains in the bottom of a stomach, an itch and a burning sensation, a feeling of a dyscomfort in a perineum are characteristic. In general, the symptoms of each individual disease can be different, depending on the degree of neglect of the disease. There is such a thing as hidden infections in women. 1. Chlamydia. The causative agent of the disease is small gram-negative cocci. After infection, the disease may not manifest itself within 5-12 days.

In women, this disease occurs almost without symptoms, only occasionally there are discharge from the vagina and pain in the lower abdomen. Diagnosis of chlamydia is carried out with the help of laboratory studies. The disease affects the genitourinary system, rectum and posterior pharyngeal walls. As a consequence, it can cause ectopic pregnancy, spontaneous abortion or fetal hypotrophy.

As a treatment, local antiseptics and medications are used. Women should carefully monitor the recovery process, because the risk of complications is high.

1. Thrush is a disease that is not venereal, but has a similar symptomatology with this kind of disease. Many sexual infections in women, among which are called thrush, develop as a result of reduced immunity, the intake of antibiotics, sometimes even during pregnancy.

Among the main symptoms of the disease are itching, burning, redness of the external genitalia, the discharge becomes white curdled, and the sexual act is accompanied by a pain syndrome.

1. Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a viral infection. Sexual viral infections, among which is the disease, have an incubation period of up to about two weeks. Symptoms of herpes are pain and itching in the area of the external genitalia. Sometimes, if the infection has occurred for the first time, there may be even muscle pain and fever.
2. Ureaplasmosis. Ureaplasma is the causative agent of this disease, which causes inflammation in the genitourinary system. The main symptoms: discharge from the vagina with an unpleasant odor, pain in the lower abdomen, as well as painful urination.
3. Mycoplasmosis. The disease affects the cervix, vagina, and uterus and urethra. Traditionally, for all sexual infections, mycoplasmosis leads to abdominal pain, itching and painful intercourse. There are also pain when urinating. Treatment of the disease appoint a complex: the reception of antibiotics and stimulants of the immune system.
