Setting the Electric Guitar

The electric guitar is tuned in several stages. First, you need to adjust the anchor rod, which is located inside the neck. The bracket prevents deformation from the load coming from the tension of the strings. Initially, in new guitars the anchor is set up, and it does not need to be touched. Tuning is needed when the guitar is already played. To do this, hold the sixth string and look at the gap between the string and the seventh fret. It should be no more than 0.4 mm. If everything is normal, then the anchor should not be touched.

If the gap is more than normal, then adjustment is required. To do this, loosen the strings so as not to tear. Remove the bolts on the curtain that closes the coupling. Install the hexagon all the way. The tightening is clockwise, and the relaxation is against. The key must be turned slowly and not more than half a turn per day. Otherwise, you can damage the neck. After that, you should set up the strings and put the guitar on the bed for a day. It happens that at one time setting the electric guitar does not give results and you need to repeat the procedure, this requires patience. If the adjustment has not yielded results, then the cause may be an anchor defect, an uneven bending of the fretboard, a lumber of wood, or an uneven torsion of the braid of the string.

Adjusting the electric guitar assumes a certain height of the strings. The optimum clearance is shown below:
- 1 string: 1.5 mm;
- 2 strings: 1.6 mm;
- 3 strings: 1.7 mm;
- 4 strings: 1.8 mm;
- 5 strings: 1.9 mm;
- 6 strings: 2.0 mm.

Before adjusting the height, it is necessary to relax the threads.

Setting the electric guitar includes adjusting the working length of the string - the scale. If it is not adjusted, the guitar will fake. If the scale is adjusted correctly, the error will be most uniform throughout the bar. It is better to tune the scale with a tuner or by flayoletons, which over the twentieth harmony should sound like a clamped string on the twelfth fret. If the sound of the thread is higher, then you need to increase the scale, and if lower - then decrease.

Replacement of strings is an easy step, but there are some tricks. Usually there are cheap cords on new electric guitars. It is best to replace them immediately. First you need to install the central spring, and after the replacement and before pulling - the remaining springs. Then unscrew the screws and remove the clamps. Set first of all the thickest sixth string, then the first, then all the rest.

An important rule is not to remove all the strings at once. First remove the first, measure it a new one, slightly tear it in the place of the required length, insert and pull. Do the same manipulations with all the other strings. This sequence is important in order not to go anchor. The new strings will be stretched for a couple of days, so the guitar will need to be adjusted. With a burst of strings, except for the first, you need to change the whole set, since the sound of the strings from different sets will be awful.

The last setting of the electric guitar is the regulation of the height of the sensors. To obtain an excellent signal, the sensors should be as close as possible to the strings. In this case, it is necessary that the strings do not touch the sensors' magnets.

The choice of an electric guitar depends only on your tastes and desires, choose a musical instrument individually.
