"Royal weed": a fairy tale about Cinderella in a new way

There is one weed that rises above the others, condescendingly glancing at the little brothers. Moreover, its inflorescences possess such insidious prickly hooks, capable of clinging to anything. And it's very difficult to pull them out of hair or wool. This truly royal weed is a burdock or burdock. Interesting fact: the inventor of the famous velcro fastener was inspired by the prickles of burdock! Just so - the royal weed - calls himself one of the characters of the novel by Tatiana Garmash-Roffe. Thanks to this comparison, the work got its headline. The author of the book "The Royal Weed" Tatiana Garmash-Roffe works in the genre of a psychological detective. She is interested not so much in the criminal story itself, as in the relations between people who inhabit the pages of her works. Having married a Frenchman, back in the 90's she went to her homeland to her husband. It was there that she could fully surrender to creativity.

From hatred to love

In 2010, the director Igor Shternberg screened several books of the writer at once, calling this serial cycle "To love and hate." It consists of 4 parts, in each "case" - 4 series. Case number 2 is exactly what we call "Royal weed". The main characters of all these paintings are Alexey Kisanov and Alexandra Kasyanova. Having met at the beginning of the series, a private detective and a well-known journalist went through a difficult path from almost hatred to love. The detective investigates intricate cases, and Sasha helps his fiancé. The series "Royal Weed" (or rather, a mini-series) is devoted to an unusual love story. At first, it seems that the audience is presented with another version of the already well-worn plot about Cinderella. Unattractive, not very attentive saleswoman Antonina right on the job accidentally gets acquainted with a very attractive buyer. Compliments, the first timid rendezvous, gifts ... This is how the plot is plotted.

Modern Galatea? ..

And now Cyril Bogdanov firmly enters the life of Tony, radically changing it. The owner of a large firm, he can afford to fulfill any whim of the girl's unheeded attention. She seems to be a kind of Galatea for him. Cyril teaches his "Antony" to dress properly, to use cosmetics, to behave. She is already recklessly in love and catches every word of the beautiful prince. And everything would be fine, however, yesterday's simpleton begins to suspect something is amiss. A loved one is clearly hiding something. He does not introduce relatives and friends, he talks about his firm casually. For advice Antonina turns to Alexander. The journalist wants to help her friend and shares her feelings with Alexei. Meanwhile, over the happiness of Tony, clouds gather ... Someone, perhaps, will draw in this tape an unexpected turn of the plot, which overturns the "fairy tale about Cinderella" literally on its head.

Author and performers

"Royal weed" - a film, primarily worthy of viewing because of the actors in it busy. Aleksey Kisanova is played by Oleg Fomin, who fell in love with filmmakers for one of his first roles (in the picture of the "perestroika" pore "My name is Harlequin"). Since then, a lot of water has flowed, he successfully tries himself in directing and actively removes. The role of his girlfriend was performed by Anastasia Makeeva, a talented young actress, a star of musicals and serials. The seducer Cyril was played by Anton Khabarov, (also mostly a serial actor), Antonina - the daughter of actress Irina Shevchuk (the audience remembers her for the role of Rita Osyanina in the military drama "A Dawns Here Are Quiet") by Alexander Afanasyev-Shevchuk.
