Really existing houses from cartoons
The events of the cartoons, which everyone loved and love so far, often take place in incredible houses, which also find a corner in the hearts of the audience. Some of these houses were created in the image and likeness of existing buildings, others inspired the creation of those that you can visit on your own.
House of the cartoon "Up!"
Denying all the laws of logic and the concept of common sense, the team of one television program decided to move the house from the cartoon "Up!" Into real life. They tied a house 7 by 7 meters to 300 two-meter balloons, and they were able to pilot it, while there were people inside it. During this event, a record was set: never before the object flew with the use of so many balloons. Here's to you an intangible subtle metaphor showing lost love! In Seattle, there is also the house of Edith Meisfield. This tiny house is a local landmark, as the stubborn elderly mistress refused to move out when modern buildings were being built around her home. Although the studio "Pixar" assures that the house in the film has no analogue in the real world, the house from Seattle is very similar, and the locals call it "Home Up" from the moment the cartoon appeared on the screens of the cinemas. Visitors often tie the balloons to the fence of this house. Intentionally or not, this house attracted so much attention that it is likely that a separate cartoon film will be shot about it.
Simpsons House
In 1997, representatives of the construction company Kaufman and Broad watched more than a hundred episodes of the famous animated series to recreate the exact copy of the house of the Simpson family. It is located in Henderson, Nevada, and stands out against the background of the rest of the houses, although it is not painted in the same color as it has in the cartoon. Tourists can easily find it, as it is the only house in the district with a chimney (which does not work at the same time), as well as its roof is tiled, not Spanish tiles, as is the case with other houses. To the disappointment of the "Simpsons" fans, the house was repainted in standard colors, all custom made furniture was sold at auction. Why? The fact is that this house was built as a prize in the competition, but the winner refused it by choosing a cash prize. However, for several weeks it was in its original form, and was also open to all visitors.
House of Jetsons
Although the events of the cartoon "Jetsons" took place in the distant future (that is, several decades later from the present time), his style is futurism of the fifties and sixties. The works of the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and the former pupil of Frank Lloyd Wright John Lautner were the main inspiration for recreating the house from the "Jetsons". Impressive bends, sloping roofs and walls of glass and metal - all this makes each of the buildings unique, but at the same time executed in the typical for the time of creation of this cartoon style.
The House of the Flintstones
When Dick Clark died in 2012, a house appeared on the market, which was literally a page from the history textbook. It was made of stone so that it could fit into the mountains located in the national park, while it contains absolutely all the details that were peculiar to the home of the Flintstones, but with elements of modernity.
Barbie's house
It is impossible to create anything more extravagant than a full-scale Barbie's house. In the capital of Germany, Berlin, this house has an area of more than two thousand square meters. It is an exact copy of Barbie's house, and it is so luxurious that small pink toy dolphins float in its toilets. Computer terminals located in the house allow you to bake virtual cupcakes, and in this house there are enough other occupations: it is full of dressing rooms, in which you can try on fashionable clothes, and you can play at any time on the pink piano
Snoopy House
Unfortunately, you will not be able to walk through this house, but in one of the museums in California you can find an information kiosk.
Numerous Beth Caves
Beth Cave? Or a man's lair stylized as a Beth Cave? A large number of men choose this direction. For example, a very wealthy Australian businessman hired an architectural company to create for him an identical copy of the Bat Cave in his underground garage. Another Batman fan, this time from the US, decided to check whether he could fit the Beth Cave inside the house he bought. And he succeeded: his cave is located behind the secret door, which opens by pressing a secret button, and this cave houses a full-scale home theater.
House of Mickey and Minnie Mouse
From 1998 to 2011 in Disneyworld it was possible to go on a tour of the houses of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse. In both houses visitors could look into refrigerators filled with cheese, look at how Minnie's classic cake rises in the oven, and take photographs on the furniture familiar to all of the cartoons. And although these houses were closed in 2011 due to the expansion of Disney World, you can still visit something similar at Disneyland. However, this is completely different, since the houses that are offered there, rather, are an additional roof over their heads for those who want to take a picture with Mickey Mouse, and not an exhibition as such.
Snow White Cottages
Chances are that the houses from the animated film "Snow White" were copied from the real houses of the thirties, located in Los Angeles, given the fact that they are only a few blocks from the place where the animation studio originally was located. These houses were built during a brief period when the designs "from the picture of the book" were popular, but it turned out that they are very difficult to insure, so they were not very popular. However, it is worth noting that they are still available for rent or purchase.
