Plaque in the language: the causes of its occurrence in infants.

Sometimes babies appear white on the language, the causes of which are unknown to young parents. It turns out that the white coating in the mouth of the baby is a sign of the appearance of candidiasis - a fungal infection, which is the most common disease of the newborn.

Candidiasis is usually expressed in the appearance in the oral cavity on the mucous membrane, for example, in the sky, the inner surface of the cheeks, on the gums, at the root of the tongue of white films resembling dairy. Sometimes young parents try to remove adherent films with gauze themselves, but it is usually impossible to remove them. Infection in the beginning to the kid does not deliver troubles, as the temperature at it or him does not raise or increase, the discomfort he does not test. But, it would seem, harmless at first the disease can lead to complications. The plaque gradually becomes denser, changes its color to yellow or gray. The child becomes more capricious with time and loses appetite.

Candidomycotic stomatitis, or thrush, as a result of which a white patch in the mouth of babies appears, has the following symptoms:

- inflammation of the internal surfaces of the cheek, palate and gums,

- white plaque in the language, the reasons for which we have already explained,

- the redness that appears after you have removed the plaque,

- unreasonable refusal of the child from the maternal breast,

- changes in the behavior of the baby - anxiety and moods.

- the appearance of a white coating resembling the curd mass.

If the disease with thrush a baby has a white coating on the tongue, the causes of this disease can be very diverse:

- a child can get infected from the mother during childbirth if she has not been cured or treated with genitourinary candidiasis during pregnancy,

- weak immunity, because the immune system of the baby in the first months of life has not yet recovered and the cause of the thrush can be even a small cold,

- if the baby often belches, because the sour environment is the best place for reproduction of the fungus,

- treatment of the baby with antibiotics,

- teething in the child's teeth ,

- if parents do not comply with the rules of hygiene, infection can occur through dirty objects.

What to do if the child in your mouth has found a white scurf on the tongue, the causes of which you are aware of - is the thrush?

To combat this disease, antifungal creams and ointments are usually used. But you need to use only those drugs that the doctor assigned to your child. The course of treatment usually takes about ten days. Most often for therapy, a Candid solution and nystatin drops are used. The baby's mouth is processed several times during the day with a cotton swab.

A solution of baking soda is one of the most proven folk methods for treating thrush. For one glass of boiled water, pre-cooled to room temperature, add a teaspoon of soda. We moisten the cotton swab in this solution and treat the baby's mouth. The procedure should be repeated every two hours. Some children do not want to open their mouths, so you can press your thumb on the child's chin. Periodically, a solution of drinking soda can be dipped in a pacifier and given to her baby. According to the prescription of traditional medicine, it is suggested to dilute a teaspoon of honey in a 1x1 proportion with water and preheat the mixture in a water bath. Then wrap the finger with a bandage and wipe the baby's mouth with this solution. But since honey is a strong allergen, this procedure should be done with caution.

Prevention of the disease with thrush in infants is fairly simple. After feeding, give the child a teaspoon of boiled water each time. This, firstly, in the oral cavity neutralizes the acidic environment, and secondly, it helps to wash away the remains of food. When breast feeding, always wash your nipple with a nipple solution. And with artificial feeding necessarily sterilize bottles, nipples and pacifiers.
