The picture "Hunters at halt" was written by him with knowledge of the matter, and it is evident.

Interesting facts about biography

The future artist was born illegitimate. And although his parents soon married in the church, his father could not give the boy his surname. At first the child was called Basil Vasiliev - it was the surname of his godfather. But why did he become Perov? It turns out that this is a nickname. His teacher was given a letter to the boy, noting with this word zeal, the child's ability to own a pen for writing.

But Vasiliy was not only a diligent student. The boy was addicted to drawing from childhood. He liked to observe how the real artist draws, which the father of the child invited to their home.

When Perov picked up the brush, he realized that this was his calling. Despite the poor vision, which he spoiled after the transferred smallpox, Perov became an artist. At first he studied at the Arzamas art school, then graduated from the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.

Picture: the first character

One look at the canvas is enough to see: it depicts 3 people. It is interesting that VG Perov painted them from real people. The picture "Hunters at halt" captured three doctors who, during their free time, liked to hunt.

On the left sits a senior in the company. This DP P. Kuvshinnikov - a fan of gun hunting, a famous Moscow doctor. Looking at the canvas, we see - Kuvshinnikov tells something interesting. His eyes are wide open, and his hands imitate the claws of a predator. Apparently, he tells his young friend how he once hunted, and he was attacked by a lynx, a wolf or a bear. Of course, the hunter defeated this animal and showed remarkable abilities.

Perfectly conveyed facial expressions, the position of the head, hands, body of his character Perov. The picture "Hunters at halt" is a scene of rest of friends and reflects the vivacity of their conversation.

Second character

A grateful listener sitting on the canvas on the right also has his own real prototype. This is Nikolai Mikhailovich Nagornov, who at the time of creation of the canvas was 26 years old. In life, he was a friend of DP Kuvshinnikova and also worked in medicine. It is interesting that this young man married a niece of the famous Tolstoy writer a year later.

But while he was completely absorbed in the story of the senior hunter. He listens to the story of the man sitting opposite, and looks at him with all eyes. The young man froze, he was not interested in either the meal or the cigarette that he held in his right hand. And the narrator tries with might and main, he even took off his hat, because he felt hot.

The third hero

Very realistically conveys all these emotions, the mood of the canvas, which Perov wrote - "Hunters at halt." The picture introduces us to another hero, whose prototype was the doctor V. V. Bessonov. It is not hard to guess, in life he was a friend of Kuvshinnikov and Nagornov.

Bessonov grins on the canvas. By the expression of his face you can understand that he has heard his friend's hunting bike more than once and does not believe in it. The man scratches himself behind his ear, it is clear what this gesture means. He tries to distract himself so as not to laugh and not tell the young fellow the truth. Perov knew all this. "Hunters at halt" - a picture that allows you to mentally move to the end of the XIX century, to become participants in an interesting scene and to guess what the main characters of the canvas say.

Surrounding landscape, small details

In art work everything is important. After it became clear who is depicted on the canvas, what men talk about, it is interesting to see what surrounds them, and to calculate at what time of the year the action takes place. This will help describe the picture "Hunters at halt." Perov, most likely, painted a pore of early spring.

It is evident that the grass is sober, so it appears before us when the snow comes down. But here and there he stayed: in the background, on the field are visible small white islets. Dressed men are warm, so they are not cold this evening.

All this clearly conveys the picture "Hunters at halt." Perov V. and his friends liked to walk in the woods with a gun. The artist saved his impressions for ages.
