Perm Circus - unique performances!

The first performances of the Perm circus showed in a mobile temporary tent-tent. And at that time it was, in fact, not a local circus, but a representation of visiting circus troupes.

The beginning of performances of the Perm circus

For the first time, circus performers saw the inhabitants of Perm more than 130 years ago.

The first circus troupe, which pleased with its representation of the Perm inhabitants, was the then known "Italian Circus" under the direction of M. Truzzi. A few years later another famous circus, headed by the legend of circus art Vladimir Durov, came to the city. After that, other well-known circus troupes became frequent in Perm: Borovskiy circus, Eygus menagerie, Dahomey troupe, Botva wax museum , etc.

Perm Circus: permanent building

Such popularity of performances in Perm was the reason that it was decided to erect a permanent wooden building for the Perm Circus.

For many years the circus has changed its address many times. Wooden buildings in which it was located, burned or smashed. Until finally, in 1970, the Perm State Circus did not find its permanent address on the Ural street and a stationary building, which is still easy to recognize.

The circus building has a classic circus-shaped amphitheater. Its height is 18 meters and the hall holds 2047 spectators, which can be located on 22 rows.

Circus Museum

At the end of 1995 Perm Circus opened the doors of its museum, exhibits for which gathered for many years. Employees of the circus and its fans carefully stored and then transferred to the museum more than 15 thousand unique exhibits, including old posters, rare books, various photographs from the views of different years, old props and costumes for performances and much more. The exposition of the museum can be visited by any spectator after the performance.

In addition to the exhibition work, the museum conducts zoo-games for children or "lessons of kindness," as they are called. These lessons help to expand children's knowledge about animals, instill love for them and introduce them to circus life. Also there are excursions behind the scenes of the circus, to the stable, there is an opportunity to visit open rehearsals. In the museum, after visiting the Perm Circus, reviews can leave all comers.

Circus today

The modern Perm State Circus presents various programs involving unique animals: monkeys-acrobats, pumas, brown and Himalayan bears, poodles, sea lions and many others. On the arena of the circus are famous air acrobats, funny clowns and super-power.

Perm Circus pleases its audience with almost all circus genres:

• Under his dome, fearless rope-walkers make insane tricks;
• Jugglers and equilibrists elegantly catch and throw a variety of objects;
• Acrobats make amazing culbits both under the dome of the circus and in its arena;
• Hilariously funny clowns put unique numbers, to keep from laughing, looking at which, it is simply impossible.

Of course, an important part of the circus program is the performance of animal artists. In addition to the exotic species listed above, the circus trainers decided to use in their representations the inhabitants of the Russian forests well-known to spectators: wild boars, bears and lynxes.

And in the rooms the trainers managed to combine seemingly eternal enemies in nature. For example, in one of the numbers the lynxes sit on the bears' backs, while the wild boars try to perform an elegant dance to the music of the waltz. And how do you clumsy bears, gracefully jumping from the curbstone to the curb?

All this unique program has appeared thanks to the unusual author's technique of Vladimir Dobryakov's training, which is based on humanity and good nutrition. Vladimir is sure that one can find an approach to any animal without using force, but only talking with them, using kind words. And this technique he applies as obedient dogs, and with predators, which can rush at a person at any time. Vladimir's pupils often act in films, for example, in "The Bear's Kiss" and "Cadets".

One of the favorite numbers of the audience is the performance with the horses of the "Amazon". In it, several horses perform a graceful dance, doing everything synchronously and rhythmically. Spectators are always delighted to take this number, amazed by the smoothness and coordination of movements of such large animals.
