Pepper sweet cultivation is quite new for Europe, got to us from America. However, since the 19th century, sweet peppers are beginning to gain more and more fans. To begin with, seeds must be etched in a 1% solution of potassium permanganate for 20 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly in running water and sow in a pre-cooked box. After 20 days, the emerged seedlings are inspected and the strongest sprouts are dived into cups or pots.

The seedlings are planted in the soil at the age of 60 - 65 days.

The sweet pepper is planted in the following way - between the rows of 50 cm, in each row the distance between them should reach 25 cm. Bitter pepper which grows similarly can be planted more often. However, remember that sweet and bitter pepper can not be planted next to, otherwise they will be dusted - and sweet will have a bitter taste. If you use non-potted seedlings, make sure that the stem is planted in the ground at the same level as the pot grew.

Sweet Pepper cultivation, which is very interesting and exciting, requires some effort on the part of gardener. He needs constant care, which consists in the constant loosening of the soil and irrigation. And also sweet peppers need fertilizers.

Water should be as follows:

  • During planting
  • 4-5 days after planting
  • Every 8-10 days before the harvest
  • Every time after the harvest

As soon as the plant reaches a height of 25-30 cm, it is necessary to remove the tip of the stem - as a result of this you will have a branchy bush with perfectly developed lateral shoots. In hot and humid weather, this procedure is mandatory, and hot, but dry in summer - no.

Harvesting

Collection of all kinds of pepper occurs when the first appearance of redness. The yield of pepper from one square meter reaches 7-14 kg. Hot peppers should be strung on a rope and suspended to dry.
