Parquet adhesive two-component: description

In order to lay the parquet floor indoors in a qualitative way, it is necessary to choose the right glue for its installation. It is the adhesive that determines the quality, integrity and durability of the floor covering.

Requirements for parquet glue

When buying parquet glue special attention should be paid to the basic requirements that are imposed on this composition:

  1. Parquet glue should be durable and perform its functions for many years.
  2. The agent used should "grasp well" and at the same time have sufficient elasticity.
  3. Quality parquet glue Do not allow shrinkage of the floor, as this can lead to squeaking.
  4. The composition should not contain a lot of water, as it often happens in cheap and substandard adhesives or counterfeits. Excessive moisture adversely affects wooden coatings and can cause deformation.
  5. The adhesive used should be safe and contain no harmful solvents and other toxic substances that will poison the air after laying the parquet for a long time.

One-component adhesive

Parquet glue is one- and two-component. One-component adhesive is available for sale in ready-to-use form. Depending on its basis, it can be:

  • Water-dispersion;
  • On the basis of solvents;
  • Polyurethane;
  • Silicate.

Dispersive parquet adhesive

It is environmentally friendly material. It is based on water. When the mixture is frozen, the vapors are completely harmless, non-toxic, without any sharp odors.

The use of glue for water-based parquet has some limitations: it is used mainly for piece parquet and plywood sheets. The boards can be glued only to those that are not very sensitive to the action of moisture.

Advantages of water-based formulations include:

  • elasticity;
  • High gluing ability;
  • Affordable price;
  • Absence of sharp odors;
  • In an open jar the glue does not dry out for a long time.

Parquet on the basis of solvents

This is the most commonly used adhesive for parquet floors, which is suitable for all types of wood. It is made of synthetic resins and a solvent. Hardening of parquet glue comes due to the evaporation of the solvent. When working with such tools, it is necessary to carefully observe the rules of fire safety, to ventilate the premises, since the composition is toxic. The parquet adhesive dries on a solvent basis for about 3-5 days.

Main advantages:

  • high quality;
  • Good elasticity and fluidity;
  • affordable price;
  • Versatility, can be used for any parquet.

Its drawbacks include a strong odor, as well as the fact that it is not strong enough to stick large boards.

Polyurethane one-component adhesive

Very strong composition, intended for laying all types of coating on concrete, cement and anhydrite base in rooms with increased load. It can be used to equip "warm floors". Full hardening of the adhesive occurs in 24 hours.

Silane Parquet Glue

This is a new generation of products, made without water. Has high strength and elasticity, does not cause deformation of wood, it is easily cleaned from the surface, does not stick to the fingers. Can be used for any wooden coatings. Eco-friendly product, resistant to sudden temperature fluctuations.

Glue parquet two-component

The composition is also called reactive, since it contains neither water nor solvents, adhesion occurs due to a chemical reaction. Ingredients, one of which is a hardener, must be mixed before use.

Parquet two-component glue has a number of advantages: it can be used for gluing parquet to any substrate, it is characterized by high strength and freezes after 24 hours.

The disadvantage of such products is that it contains very harmful substances to their health. After hardening, the adhesive is completely safe. Another disadvantage is the relatively high price.

Examples of two-component adhesives for parquet

"Bostik" is well known to many masters of finishing works. Bostik is an international company that is one of the leaders in the production of adhesive materials used in construction. The principle and strategy of the manufacturer is the environmental friendliness of all products and strict quality control.

Glue parquet two-component "BORIS TARBICOL PU 2K NEW" is used for laying all kinds of parquet on any basis: wood (birch, hornbeam, beech, bamboo, etc.), end timber, high density wood , untreated or lacquered parquet, Parquet board, mosaic board. The composition is characterized by good adhesion to all types of bases, resistance to high and low temperature (-20 ° С - +120 ° С), moisture resistance. The glue does not deform the wood because it does not contain water. The product is light, conveniently applied with a spatula. Can be used on heated floors.

Parquet adhesive, two-component Adesiv Pelpren PL6

The products are designed for gluing wood floors of any type onto cement base or to previously existing non-porous floors (tiles, marble, wood, cement-sand screed, marble mosaic floor , etc.).

It is used for gluing all kinds of parquet (including exotic rocks). Can be used for underfloor heating.

Glue parquet two-component "Bona P-778"

Adhesive composition does not contain water and any organic solvents. Cures due to chemical reaction, does not shrink. Adhesive can be used to fix to the base of wood species, sensitive to swelling. Suitable for bulk and cement floors, anhydrite screeds, leveling cement mixes, the thickness of which is not less than 2 mm, chipboard and plywood.

Glue parquet two-component "Parketoff" (Parketoff PU-2000)

Adhesive composition is designed for laying all types of parquet (including paving, piece, artistic, shield), as well as a massive board. In addition, this high-quality parquet glue can be used for laying a parquet board, laminate for hygroscopic (concrete, cement, anhydrite and others) and non-hygroscopic (ceramic tiles, metal or stone floors) bases. The composition does not include water and solvents. The glue is suitable for rooms with high load, for a floor with heating, has high penetrating properties, good spreadability. Not recommended for use at temperatures below 15 ° C and relative humidity above 65%.
