Nutmeg - and spice, and a remedy

Active substances

Nutmeg - the seed kernel contains at least 3% of essential oil of a rather complex composition (including geraniol, pinene, eugenol, linalool, dipentene), about 40% of a dense oil, which consists mainly of myristic acid (its triglycerides), as well as starch (Close to 20%), saponins, pigments, pectin substances. Another seedling (color) contains at least 2% fat; 4.5% essential oil and about 30% amylodextrins.

Nutmeg - application and useful properties

Nutmeg, which is used very rarely, has various useful properties. In small doses, essential oil enters a variety of gastric and restorative medications, but here its true value decreases.
