Preparation

Of course, game is a unique product. And it needs a special approach. This is not already almost ready to cook a piece of pork or chicken. And if you got a rabbit, then, most likely, it will be a trophy of a successful hunter, and not a product purchased in the store. Therefore, it must be prepared beforehand.

We will consider that we were lucky - the carcass got already without a skin and gutted. But this does not mean that you can immediately start the cooking process. Firstly, the hare must be properly inspected for the presence or absence of pellets in the meat (after all, someone had shot him, so it's definitely safe to insure himself). If you find extra "ingredients" - carefully remove them with tweezers. And at the same time, conduct and "depilation" - remove all the hair and hairs. Then the carcass should be soaked in cold water for a day. Water needs to be updated periodically. If you do not do this, the meat will be tough, which is unlikely to benefit the dish. Everything, you can start the culinary process. So, we have a rabbit in our possession. In the oven (how to cook - we'll tell below), his meat still gets the most delicious. Therefore, on this option, we will stop and consider several traditional, but time-tested recipes.

Hare in sour cream

The first stage is finished, we send our future culinary masterpiece to a preheated oven for up to two hundred degrees. We cook until the meat is covered with a ruddy crust, periodically pouring it with a prominent juice. How long does the hare prepare for sour cream in the oven, it is difficult to say for sure, since it depends on his age, which he, of course, did not report to us.

When the meat - in our understanding - is almost ready, we take it out of the oven and merge the resulting juice into a saucepan. There, add sour cream, chicken broth, salt, spices, put on a slow fire, and ourselves fry the flour, which is then introduced into the prepared sauce, gently stirring. We cook for five minutes, supervising the process. Then the resulting mixture is covered with our meat on a baking sheet, again we send it to the oven. Let's hope that our rabbit did not run through the forest for many years, so, most likely, in thirty minutes you can get a dish.

So our hare is ready in the oven. How to cook this dish yet, you ask? Very simple. Add some new ingredients, while removing some of the old ones. How else? This is how new recipes are born.

Adding potatoes

We offer another recipe for cooking a rabbit in the oven, this time with the addition of potatoes. This dish will be very satisfying - an excellent meal for a real hunter. For him we need the following products:

  • Hare (as you guessed it);
  • Potatoes (seven or even eight pieces);
  • Raw eggs (two pcs.);
  • One carrot;
  • Garlic head;
  • A packet of (whole) mayonnaise;
  • Oil (olive is preferable);
  • Salt, seasonings.

Technology of preparation

Hare, as in the previous recipe, it is necessary to cut into portioned pieces. Garlic is passed through the press, add salt, spices, olive oil, and smear the resulting mixture with pieces of rabbit. Here the hostess can take a time-out, since the meat should lie in the marinade for at least an hour. However, fifteen minutes before the end of the marination period, he will have to give him a little attention: add half of the mayonnaise to the marinade and mix everything again.

For these fifteen minutes to go back to the sofa where you rested, it's pointless, so they better spend on preparing the rest of the ingredients. We clean onions, potatoes and carrots, and then the first two products are cut: onions - rings, potatoes - bars (medium size). We rub the carrots on the grater.

We take a baking tray, grease it with vegetable oil, lay out the meat. Sprinkle it generously with onion and carrots, and top with potatoes. We take a glass of water, pour it into a bowl, add there two raw eggs, the remaining mayonnaise, salt, diligently churn everything, pour in meat and vegetables, we send the baking tray to a heated to one hundred and sixty degrees oven.
