The form of the Russian navy has a long and rich history. For many decades, changes and additions were made to it, the coloring, style and fabric from which everyday and ceremonial samples were sewn changed. Today, we are more accustomed to seeing in the form of sailors two predominant colors - white and black. It's hard to believe, but the first sea form was a dark green color, just like that of ordinary servicemen. So, about everything in order.

Navy: the form from the date of creation

The navy in Russia appeared under Peter the Great, that is, in the 17th century. It was then that the first military uniform for seamen was approved. An example was taken from the uniforms of Dutch naval personnel. It was a gray or green coat of coarse wool, green trousers just below the knee and stockings. On the head of the sailors wore hats with wide margins. Of the shoes, sailors were allowed to wear leather shoes. The working suit, which was worn daily, consisted of a spacious, not adjacent to the body of a canvas shirt, canvas wide trousers, a cocked hat, and a camisole. Rob was gray in color, and on top of it was wearing a snow-white shirt with azure collar. During the work, the upper form was removed, at the rest of the time the white shirt was worn from above constantly. But today the Navy looks completely different in form.

From what sewed the first form?

For the Navy sailors, the uniform was made of lightweight canvas. This fabric was recognized as the most practical - it was easily cleaned from the most difficult contaminations, practically did not crumple, it let in air well. It was comfortable in any season. The Black Sea fleet was highlighted in white for everyday use, while the rest were more likely to prefer sky-blue shades. Parusina was used in sewing almost until the 80's.

A little later the canvas fabric was replaced with cotton. The color of the form also changed - it became blue. If we compare the tailoring of that time to the modern one, we can confidently say: today the Russian Navy's form is inferior in quality, as it is made from a variety of materials, not always of good origin.

Also, the color scheme has changed - a range of tones from blue to black has been proposed.

Everyday form of sailor

Everyday form of the Navy consists of the following elements: shirt, pants, sailor's collar, shoes and, of course, headgear. Let's consider each of the items separately.

Shirts and in today's days are cut out on the model of the old model, worn with a special buckled collar. No front or rear seams on it. In front there is a pocket (from the inside is exactly the same). The sleeves of the shirt are long, straight. A tag with an indelible combat number is mandatory. On the shoulders - epaulettes in accordance with the title. The shirt is worn out, only refueled on duty.

Pants also preserved the style of the seventeenth century - dark blue, with side pockets, gulfikom, belt with special loops. Now the badge depicts the emblem of the Navy, before - the star. Cotton collar blue with embroidered three strips of white - symbols of victories in the Chesme, Gangut and Sinope battles.

Shoes and headwear

The form of the Russian Navy includes several headdresses. This can be a cap without a cap with ribbons, which indicate the name of the ship, or a simple inscription: "Navy". On the crown of the cap, there is a cockade in the form of a golden anchor. During the Soviet era, the cockade was made in the form of a crab - a red star framed with golden leaves. The summer cap is made of white fabric and always comes complete with a spare cover. In winter, sailors of the Navy wear hats with earflaps made of black fur. It is available in a set of headdresses and a cap. In front - a cockade, on the sides - three blocks for ventilation. In the Soviet era, black pilots differed in types - especially for officers and rank-and-file. Today, the pilots wear everything, and the semi-circular style was changed to rectangular. Boots of sailors carry an interesting name - burn-out. They are made of yufti, have a thick sole, and rubber bands have also added to the laces. Parade shoes are considered chrome boots.

The day-to-day form of officers, midshipmen and women

The form of an officer of the Navy, as well as a midshipman, differs little from the form of a simple sailor. The set of clothes includes a woolen cap of black or white color, a woolen jacket, a cream shirt, a black coat, black trousers, a black tie with a gold binding, a muffler, a belt, gloves.

As shoes, boots, shoes or shoes can be used. Additional items of clothing are a black sweater, a demi-season jacket, a woolen cloak or a blue tunic. Women wear black woolen caps, black wool skirts, cream-colored blouses, a belt, a black tie with gold binding, body tights, black shoes or boots. Women are also allowed to wear a black wool jacket. In winter, women are supposed to wear a black karakul beret and a coat of the same color.

The ceremonial uniform of midshipmen and officers

The main form of the Navy is divided into several species according to weather conditions. Headdresses - a black or white cap, a cap with earflaps or a doodle cap with a visor (for higher officers and captains of the first rank). A mandatory element of clothing is a black tie with a gold binding. Woolen jacket can be of two colors - white (summer) and black (front). Black trousers made of wool, a white shirt and a golden belt are the obligatory elements, of which the parade uniform of the Navy is made up.

White muffler or black collar is worn according to weather conditions. Shoes are black or white shoes, boots, low shoes or half boots. On the black woolen coat wears shoulder straps. Also included are white gloves.

The ceremonial uniform of foremen, sailors and women

The form of the Navy for these categories includes a striped vest or a cream shirt with a tie (this applies to contract workers), woolen pants of black color (women have skirts) and a belt. On the head is put on a summer white cap, a black woolen hat or a fur hat. There is a white foreman or blue flannel (contractors wear a jacket made of black wool). In the Navy, the form for the parade includes a woolen black coat, on which carry plaques, mufflers and gloves. Also allowed to wear pea jackets. On the feet of the sergeant-major, sailors and women wear half-boots, boots or low shoes. The ceremonial belt for men is black, for women - golden. Also there is a demobra form, it is divided into two types - strict and decorated. The strict form includes a tailored tunic, on which the emblems of the patrimonial troops are located, the aglet bells, gold buttons, awards and badges, shoes, belt and beret.
