The project of this station was developed by the architects R. Pogrebnoy and V. Filipov, with the participation of I. Plyukhin. According to their idea, this single-vaulted station is laid only 8 meters deep, built in an open way and does not have columns, and the structure of the station's arch is initially made of integral concrete.

Few people know that the station "Kashirskaya-Orekhovo" station opened twice. For the first time it happened in 1984 - December 30, but the same night, flooding occurred due to waterproofing violations. The station was closed. And only a month later it was possible to eliminate all the shortcomings and open the station a second time in February 1985.

By the way, initially the project was supposed to be named "Lenino", but it became known as "Kantemirovskaya" because of the nearby Kantemirovskaya street.
