Mandala crochet. Knitting patterns and the meaning of thread colors

Mandala is a disk that schematically depicts space, the universe or the universe. It is a complex geometric figure, filled with many multicolored elements. Its middle means the deity, outer circles - the universe. There are many options for creating a product. One of them is crocheting mandala. Schemes of work can be very different.

Mandala as a guard in the house

Mankind has long known that color has a huge impact. Certain shades through stimulation of external vision awaken inner consciousness. The mandala harmonizes the space of the house, stores in itself energy for solving problems and materializing desires.

Little mandala crochet. Scheme (description)

It will become a stylish element of decor and amulet in your home. In addition, it is a good way to utilize the remains of yarn of different colors. The mandala crochet, the scheme of which is given here, is knitted with multi-colored threads. Their shade smoothly flows from one to another.

For production you will need:

  • scissors;
  • A needle with a wide eye;
  • Two crochet hooks (long and short);
  • Yarn your favorite shades.

Knitting Pattern:

  • Crochet a weak loop. It involves 12 stitches with a crochet. Pull the free edge of the thread to tighten the loop. Cut the thread with scissors, leaving 4 cm free. Thread the end into the needle and connect the first and outer posts. This secret technique is used to ensure that the pattern on the knitted disk does not go in a spiral. Thus, the gradient faces will be smooth. Secure the thread.
  • Next, we take threads of a different color (for example, dark blue). We knit in a circle with columns with a crochet. In this row, they need to be doubled. The edges must again be sewn with a needle.
  • We take a thread of blue color. We also knit a third row. In each second loop we sew two columns with a crochet. In the end, you should get 36 loops. Sew the edges again with a needle.
  • To create a gradient, take the next suitable shade of threads. In every third loop, you need to make an increase. This is to ensure that the circle remains flat.
  • The next three bands should be of different colors. Additions must be made in every fourth, fifth and sixth loop.

As you can see, the mandala crochet quite simply knits. The scheme of the product is simple, even a beginner will understand it.

Next, we turn to decorating this decor element:

  • Wrap the product with shells;
  • Connect 14 radial strips.

We knit a cockleshell or a fan:

  • Take a string of light shade and make one air loop. Two we pass, and in the third we sew six columns with a cuff at the same time. Again, skip two loops and fix the "shell" with an air loop.

Now almost ready for the mandala crochet. The scheme contains 14 such "fans". The first and last column is stitched with a needle.

Next we knit an extreme row with radial lines. The long hook should be inserted into the fourth loop of the "shell". To knit in the next three loops one column with a crochet. To create a radial line, make 10 capes on a long hook. We introduce it into the upper loop of the first row and we sew a column with a crochet. We return. We impose 6 loops along the shell and again we remove the radial strip. Thus, you should get 14 lines. We tie the mandala with the crochet stitches.

Value of thread colors

Mandala crochet, the outline and description of which are filed above, should be pleasing to the eye. When selecting threads, use the following colors:

  • Blue is the symbol of the feminine, motherhood, unconditional love and compassion. Color is also associated with the divine power.
  • Turquoise - a symbol of protecting the house from the evil eye and evil spirits. In combination with green is a motivator for self-solving problems.
  • The blue color calms and sets on a serious wave. Light blue has a beneficial effect on the nervous system. Dark shade gives strength of will and endurance.
  • White has the ability to heal the body and cleanse the space.
  • Pink radiates love, affection and warmth.
  • Red means courage, strength, desire and ability to act. Activates sexual energy. Around the mandala, a red crown is often tied. It means purifying the psyche of false self-esteem. The shade of fire burns falsehood, ignorance, gives the will to the transformation of the psyche.

How to choose colors for a mandala

When choosing threads for a mandala, be guided by your own perception of the shades. They should attract you. Mandala needs to be knit in a calm state, with good thoughts, you can read prayers. If the amulet is created as a gift to a specific person, then one must take into account its life goals, problems from which it would like to get rid.

There are special techniques for working with a mandala (meditation), but even if you are not going to do it seriously, the presence of such an amulet in the house will give a positive result.
