Made in PRC - which country? Made in PRC: Country of origin

Made in PRC - which country produces goods under such an abbreviation? In stores you can buy spoons and forks, as well as serious household appliances, on the labels of which there are similar symbols. Goods, I must say, are of quite acceptable quality, and the price is objective. The brand, most often, does not say anything to customers, but it's also not surprising, so many companies appear and are lost in the market, which you will not remember each.

Barcode

The age of information technology and, of course, free access to knowledge through the Internet gives us the opportunity to get information in any way. Once we do not get straight, we go around and study the barcode. The main producing countries, or rather their numbers in the encoded set of arithmetic symbols used in the world, are familiar to everyone, well, many are for sure. For example, Russia has a code of 46, and Germany is from 40 to 44. These symbols representing the state on whose territory it was manufactured what you are going to buy are the first in the line of 13 digits.

What does the bar code of the product with the inscription on the label "Made in PRC" give us? Which country is listed in the code? China (690-695). Strange, because the inscription for goods from this country looks quite different, and it sounds even more so - Made in China. It is to this formulation we are accustomed to, this phrase is considered to be established and universally recognized. What is the catch, where is the discrepancy?

China

And it, in principle, no. Everything is extremely simple. The bar code indicates the country in which the goods were actually produced, and this is really China, that is, made in the People's Republic of China. Made in PRC (decryption: People's Republic of Chinese) is nothing more than a derivative on this topic. It should be noted that the Republic of China and Taiwan fall under this reduction.

For an uninitiated consumer, the difference is, in principle, insubstantial, but ... At the moment, a politically unstable state divides itself into two, or more precisely into three parts: the PRC, the Republic of China, Taiwan. The essence of the dispute is not so significant in the context of manufactured goods. There is quite a legitimate question: why are innovations needed? The previous version was popular and well-known. Who and why introduced the new abbreviation Made in PRC?

What kind of country do we associate with marriage and low-grade "junk"? Agree, the answer is obvious - China. It does not matter to us which of the political regions is meant, it is solely about the quality of the goods supplied. And how objective is it?

Celestial

We dare to recall that China is an ancient state that has a rich culture that influenced not only the neighboring countries (Japan, Thailand, etc.) but also European states. It is inventors from the Middle Kingdom who own such discoveries as gunpowder and fireworks, books and paper. By the way, the word "porcelain" in English is written and sounds identical to the word "China", namely chine. I think it is not necessary to reproach the craftsmen in the manufacture of consumer goods of poor quality. Things made by artisans in China serve for a long time and reliably.

But in fairness it must be said that the charges are not groundless. Cheap labor and low level of education played a cruel joke with the image of the state. Despite the fact that there are enough enterprises in the country producing high-quality goods, a reputation was created by small apprentices, aimed at easy profit and great turnover. They supplied a huge amount of goods of a disgusting variety to all countries of the world. Glorifying the state (no matter how pathetic it may sound) the goods, whether it's porcelain or pyrotechnics, were simply lost in the sea of "rubbish". As a result, consumers stopped considering the purchase of goods made in China. And they do it in principle.

New abbreviation

What does Made in PRC mean? This is not just an abbreviation, it's a way to get customers out of the shock that they got through the fault of uncontrolled receipts of "marriage". This is just a marketing move designed for a favorable outcome, after which the demand for consumer goods supplied from China will increase many-fold. China is a country where hardworking people live, gave the world a fishing hook and whiskey (invented for medical purposes), paper money and a toothbrush with a writing that is not equal in the world. They are worthy of respect. Their desire for success is grandiose.

It was the desire to destroy stereotypes that led to the appearance on the boxes of products of the acronym Made in PRC.

What country

Who can compete with China in terms of the number of non-food consumer goods produced? I think no one. At this point in time, the Chinese economy is on the rise, foreign investment is pouring into the most powerful flows. The factories and factories are being built. Foreign investors are attracted by cheap labor and loyal legislation of the country.

Do not think that only new companies that have not yet gained "turnover" are building their own enterprises there. No! Many large concerns have opened their subsidiaries in the region. The quality of production is monitored relentlessly. Training of personnel is carried out. All processes are highly automated.

This is how Made PRC goods are born. The producer country can be any, even without any relation to China. But the fact that the products manufactured in the Celestial plants, produced in world volumes, and not in piece, can compete in quality with what is produced in prim joke or Germany, is a fact. Evidence to that mass.

PR move

Once created stereotypes are trying to break for a long time. Many faced with goods, on the packaging boxes of which proudly flaunted the names of countries that are respected as producers, for example Austria or Switzerland. On closer examination it was found out that the company whose product you purchased is, for example, Austrian (more precisely, the company is registered on the territory of this country), but everything has been produced in China. Many people think this is a trick of low, indecent. What is there to do? How to convey to consumers that what is not very expensive, can be of decent quality? What brand and place of production - things, of course, important, but not the last?

Synonyms should be "quality" and the inscription on the packaging Made in PRC. A country capable of building the Great Wall of China, which has the largest diasporas around the world, whose economy is developing by leaps and bounds, can do things worthy of respect.

Common sense

The words said above may be a bit pretentious. Let's talk without lofty phrases and discuss everything from the point of view of banal erudition.

It's no secret that the brand and the producer country need to be paid extra. Often the mark-up for these two items exceeds the 50% barrier. For many, this is an indicator of status. The thing bought at an incredibly high price, speaks of prosperity.

But is this really important for ordinary consumers, for whom the mixer is just a device that whacks egg whites into a strong foam? The main thing that is required of him is a service to the hostess. Everything, nothing more. So what does the Made in PRC products do not do? Whose production should be indicated on the packaging, so that the mixer would work better?

What's better?

Many housewives note the fact that a simple, even a Chinese mixer, will serve less, but its price is several times lower. That is, the price ratio is such that during the operation of an expensive, branded unit, you can buy two new ones that are not inferior in design and characteristics, without losing materially.

Choose the best, even if it is made in China.
