Learning to brush your teeth correctly - the nuances of the procedure

In order to achieve a white tooth smile, many undergo special procedures at the dentist. In fact, it's enough just to regularly brush your teeth, periodically (preferably as little as possible, so as not to injure the enamel) add a pinch of soda or lemon juice to the paste, and also be able to choose the right brush. Consider the nuances of such a seemingly simple and routine procedure, like brushing your teeth, in more detail.

Why is it important to brush your teeth?

Oral cavity is considered one of the most "dirty" in our body (not counting the intestine, of course). This is due to the fact that we litter it with food, which, stuck in the teeth, becomes a hotbed of pathogenic bacteria. Ideally, you need to brush your teeth after every meal, but not everyone can afford this luxury. But it is especially important to brush your teeth in the morning (for fresh breath) and in the evening, when the protective properties of the saliva fulfilling the disinfecting role are significantly reduced, which allows harmful bacteria to multiply much faster.

How to properly brush your teeth?

What every person is afraid of is the treatment of tooth decay, in order to not go through an uncomfortable procedure you need not only regularly but also properly brush your teeth. So, let's consider the basic rules:

  1. It is recommended to clean the teeth for at least three minutes.
  2. Hold the brush at an inclination of 45 degrees.
  3. Begin cleaning from the upper dentition, and then take the lower (or vice versa), so as not to spread microbes throughout the mouth.
  4. First, clean the front row of teeth, gradually moving to the far.
  5. Clean the top row from top to bottom, and bottom, on the contrary, from bottom to top.
  6. The surface of the teeth is cleaned in a circular motion.
  7. After rinsing your mouth, do not forget to treat the tongue with a brush - it also accumulates plaque, which causes stale breath. If this procedure does not help, look for the cause in the internal organs of the digestive tract or in the excessive reproduction of candida.
  8. The special rinse aid completes the procedure, which can easily be purchased at a store or pharmacy. Rinsers disinfect the oral cavity and give teeth a whiteness.

The procedure is carried out after breakfast and dinner twice a day. Now, after talking about brushing your teeth, let's move on to choosing a "tool" - a toothbrush.

Choose the toothbrush correctly

The first thing you need to pay attention to is the degree of brush rigidity. If you have gums prone to bleeding, spare your teeth and give preference to soft pile. Most people use "tools" with medium stiffness. The brush should also not have a large head, since it interferes with cleaning. Doctors still have not figured out which brush is most effective - conventional or electrical. However, they agreed on the opinion that ultrasound is more effective - it destroys microbes even at a depth of 5 mm under the gum, not to mention the surface of the oral cavity. Change the brush 3-4 times a month.

So, we looked at the details of tooth brushing and brush selection. Acquired knowledge will help you to avoid dental diseases and always shine a white-tooth smile.
