Born July 24, 1976 in the largest city of Scotland, Glasgow. Her father Alistair worked in the construction industry and tried himself as a screenwriter. Rosa's mother was a nurse, and then a college teacher. Laura has two brothers and a sister. Father was the girl's best friend. And it was from her father that she took the aspiration and love for the scene. Alistair supported his daughter in everything and also helped to decide on his profession. He wrote a play in which Laura got the lead role.

After graduation, Laura Fraser entered the Royal Academy of Music and Drama of Scotland. But there she studied for only one year. Teachers did not like the fact that the young Laura began to act in films. Then Fraser left for London.

Personal life

During the filming of "The History of the Knight" Laura met with English actor Paul Bettany. They began to meet, but soon parted.

In 2002, she met on the set of the movie "The Coney Island's Child" with Irish and American actor and businessman Carl Jiari, whom Laura Fraser married in the same year. The personal life of the star evolved in the best way. At that time Karl already had a daughter. Together they went to New York one year after the wedding, and a year later to Ireland. In 2005, the family moved to Laura's homeland - Glasgow. There in 2006, the couple had a daughter, Lila Jiari.

Now Fraser and his family live in New York, near Brooklyn.
