"Last Chill": a short summary. "The Last Cold": the main characters of the story

Albert Likhanov is a children's writer. Today we will present you one of his most famous works, more precisely, his brief content. "The Last Chill" is a story he wrote in 1984. The book produces a truly amazing impression. It describes the growth of a person, as well as a terrible, brutal war. It can be assumed that this story is on military topics. Only this is not so. This story is not about people in the rear and heroism of soldiers, this is a story about children in those terrible years.

Summary: "The Last Colds"

The book begins with the fact that the boy Kolya remembers the teacher, Anna Nikolaevna, who taught him school lessons, as well as life lessons.

Then there was 1945, there was a war. The narrator had to finish primary school after a year and 2 months.

Permanent hunger

Further, the short contents of the book "The Last Chill" tells that you want to eat all the time. In general, all the children could be divided into 3 groups: simple, punks and jackals. Simple guys were afraid of everyone else. Jackals at all took away food, while punks simply inspired fear with all their appearance, while it caused the sensation of a completely dull crowd.

At some point, when Kolya ate, he left the soup (for the storyteller an unthinkable thing, since his mother had taught to always eat everything, even if he did not like the food). One of the jackals sat up to him unobtrusively, began to beg the remains of soup with his eyes. At that moment the narrator hesitated, although he gave it to him. He noticed this boy, calling himself yellow-faced. In addition, he spotted one guy from the punks, who broke through without queue among the small ones. He called him Nose.

A few days later, again eating, he again saw a yellow-faced man who stole bread from a very small girl, which caused an awful scandal. After this, the Nose band decided to beat the yellow-faced, but it turned out that they, in general, do not really know how to fight, they get more harsh. Then the yellow-faced Nose grabbed at the throat and began to choke. The gang fled in horror. And the yellow-faced man wandered off to the fence. There he fainted. Seeing this, Kolya began to call for help, and the boy was brought to himself. It turned out that he had not eaten anything for 5 days, and he stole bread for himself and his sister Mary. Then the narrator found out that the name of the yellow-faced was Vadka.

Heroes

It is necessary to tell about the heroes, making a short summary for this story. "The last cold weather" shows us completely different children in the war years. So, the narrator lived with his grandmother and mother, his father fought. His wife's houses were "wrapped around with a cocoon," as he said, sheltered from all ills. He, in general, did not starve, was always shod and dressed, did not miss lessons.

But Mary and Vadka lived very differently. Their father died at the very beginning of the war. Mom was with typhus in the hospital, and there was little hope of recovery. The girl lost some food stamps somewhere, so her brother was forced to jackal and get his food by his cunning. At the same time, they did not go down morally. Children constantly thought about their mother, always lied to her in their letters so that she did not worry at all. They lived in a very poor house. This all was learned by the narrator, having communicated with Vadka.

Helping Children

Describing the summary ("The Last Cold"), it is worth noting that the narrator was as if magnetizing to Vadka. He respected this strange, yellow-faced boy. At some point it turned out that Vadka did not have enough money, and in order to survive in the cold, he asked the storyteller for a while to wear a jacket. He went home and talked with his grandmother, who told about Marya and Vadka, as well as about their difficult situation. But the grandmother did not allow him to give the jacket. But the narrator went against her will. He took the wardrobe thing and ran to the guys on the street. A little later the mother of the narrator approached them. He and she told her what was wrong, but her mother, unlike her grandmother, was sympathetic to the children, fed them well, and they fell asleep from the satiety right at the table.

School Walking

Albert Likhanov described the life of these children very interestingly. "The last cold weather" is a story about true friendship. So, the next day the three of us gathered to go to school. The girl went, and Kolya and Vadka for the first time missed school. The yellow-faced and narrator, who was tied up with him, went to seek food. First, Kolya was very indignant, because Vadik was full, and my grandmother and mother invited them again in the evening, so why should we look for food? This question he asked the boy, and he said that the native narrator does not have to feed him. He acted nobly, did not want to sit on someone else's neck.

Oil cake

Vadik and Kolya asked for a cake and went to the bazaar. Yellow-faced told about his own "technology of survival".

Mothers

Making a brief summary of the story "The Last Colds", you need to tell about the relationship of children with their mothers. So when Kolya was with Vadim, he compared them very actively. The narrator was always under the patronage of his mother, she did not regret it, she was not afraid for her. And Vadik's relationship with his mother was completely different: he himself said that he was very afraid for her, that after the death of their father she had changed very much. This attitude to a loved one speaks of the boy's already maturedness, he, unlike Kolya, has already seen a lot in his life. On his face there were even wrinkles, sometimes he reminded the old man.

Upon returning from the school, Marya scolded Vadik because he was skipping classes, and reported that she had been given food stamps. The children finally ate in the dining room, but the girl was taken off the second, after which her brother drove off the offender.

The main characters ("The Last Chill") come out of the dining room, laugh, joke. Vadik's coat was torn with a knife, the girl cried. Yellow-faced goes to school, as he was summoned to the director, and Kolya accompanies Marya home. Here they wrote a letter to her mother, while the not very talkative narrator suddenly attacked the spirit of writing, perhaps because he introduced himself to the children.

Then they went home to Kolya, did some homework, and ate. A yellow-faced man with a tied up belt of textbooks and a whole portfolio of food came in - he was handed over to her through the teacher's director. Vadik accuses the storyteller's mother of being summoned to the director, as well as in these handouts. But my mother says that she has nothing to do with it. She sits the boy at the table, he reluctantly, but agrees. Begin to talk about the bath. It turned out that Vadik and Marya after the hospitalization of the mother were washed once because of the terrible constraint of the girl to go to a common bath, and she could not wash herself, it was difficult. The narrator talks about childhood, that you seem to be free, but it is not, you are not free. At some point, you will definitely need to do something, which your soul is resisting with all its strength. And you are told at the same time that it is so necessary, and you, suffering, masya, resting, do all the same what is required.

When Marya and Vadka leave, Kolya's mother scolds for skipping classes, by the way, the first in his life.

May 8

After some time (May 8), Kolya noticed in her mother's behavior a strange fuss, and tears in her eyes. He suggests that something happened to his father. But she says that everything is in order, after which he offers him to visit Vadka and Marya. There the mother behaves unnaturally also. Suspicions of the narrator about the pope are amplified, only with him everything is actually in order.

9th May

The Victory Day has come. The whole country is happy, people seem close to each other, because they are all united by a great joy, as Likhanov described. The "recent cold" (the content briefly presented in this article) expresses this description with an amazing pride for his country.

No one could sit at school on the spot. Anna Nikolaevna told her students that some time will pass and they will all become adults. Everyone will have children, then grandchildren. Time will pass and those who are already adults will die. Then they will remain only the children of the past war. Their children and grandchildren of war will not know. On Earth, only they will remain, people who will still remember it. It may happen that the guys will forget this sorrow, this joy, these tears ... And she asked them not to let this happen. We do not forget to let others forget.

Death of the mother

The narrator went to the house of Mary and Vadim. There was no light in their apartment, but the door was open. The girl was lying in the clothes on the bed. Vadik was sitting next to her on the floor. He said that a few days ago their mother died, and they only learned about it today. Day May 9 was a holiday for absolutely not all.

They were taken to the orphanage. The narrator visited them once, but they did not have a conversation. Since then, they have not seen them since the children were transferred to another orphanage.

End of work

The story "The Last Chill" ends with the words that sooner or later the wars end. But much slower than the enemy, hunger recedes. And for a long time tears do not dry out. And dining rooms with additional food are opened, where jackals live - hungry, small, not guilty in anything children. This must not be forgotten! This is what Anna Nikolayevna ordered.

«The Last Cold»: review

It is very difficult to leave a response about this work. We are well-fed people, we did not know war and famine. And it is very scary to imagine the fear and despair of people of those years, small, innocent.
