Large mosquitoes: are these insects dangerous?
I wonder who are such big mosquitoes? Are they dangerous? Perhaps the biggest scourge for holidaymakers in the bosom of the nature of people are these insects. One has only to come to the river, lake or the seashore, and if there is any vegetation there, then surely there will be those bloodsucking.
Also, some of the victims of mosquitoes are residents of green microdistricts, where due to high trees after rain, dampness persists for a long time, which is further aggravated by the damp cellars of houses. It is there that mosquitoes like to breed in the summer. Adult people still somehow can survive a large number of bites of these insects, but what to do to children and those who have an allergic reaction to mosquito bites ?
In fact, this is a completely separate type of insect. Mosquitoes-long-legged - by this name are known in biology large mosquitoes. Are they dangerous? This type of insect is also widely distributed around the world, with the exception of Antarctica, like other types of mosquitoes. They differ large body - from 0.2 to 6 centimeters, although there are tropical subspecies, which reach 10 centimeters. These insects look intimidatingly not only at the expense of large sizes, which, incidentally, only seem so because of their long legs, but also because of the facetted eyes and spurs that adorn the hind legs of the leggings (hence their name). In fact, they are quite harmless, these big mosquitoes. Are their bites dangerous? The question disappears by itself, because if you look closely, then such a mosquito is nowhere visible spout or proboscis. It is absent in both males and females of the long-legged legs. They do not know how to bite, but they do not need blood to support their life, unlike small peep-nits. They feed on these insects like butterflies - floral nectar. The larvae of mosquitoes can reprocess the decomposing plant remains, or sometimes live leaves. So the only harm that these creatures can inflict is the damage to agriculture from their larvae.
