Land as a factor of production and subject of labor

Among the factors of production, the earth stands out with a number of significant features. The main one is that this factor is very wide in content, it includes land resources proper , used for economic activity, water resources. In addition, land as a factor of production can be viewed simply as a certain geographic location or the minerals it contains. In some cases, underground is meant residential or industrial premises.

In addition, land as a factor of production is characterized by a number of other features, here they are:

- it does not represent the result of labor, and therefore does not have value as such;

- The land acquires a price only after it enters the sale and sale transaction, after that it becomes someone's property;

- it has a dual characteristic, to be both an object and an object of work;

- the land acts as a unique and unreplaced factor of production;

- Land, unlike other factors that lose their value and characteristics during their use, is capable of improving them;

- it is a limited resource;

- the land is not movable and has various quality parameters.

Earth as a means of production is characterized by a multiplicity of forms of its use. The most common form of land use is agricultural activities. At the same time, it acts as an object of labor, and as an instrument of labor, since man, through influence on the earth, solves many economic problems. The use of land in agricultural activities is most widely disclosed through the concepts of productivity and fertility.

As already stressed, land as a factor of production has such a property as fertility. From its parameters, in fact, depends on the suitability and value of the land.

Land in other industries also occupies a unique place among the means of production. Here its special features are manifested in the following:

- it is a product of nature;

- the land gives effect only in interaction with other resources of natural and non-natural origin;

- land - an indispensable tool, limited quantitatively and little susceptible to physical and moral depreciation;

- Earth is the natural basis for preserving life on the planet.

The land as a production factor is organically connected with such kinds of human activity as construction, melioration, water supply and water disposal, arrangement of transport infrastructure, planting of forests and others. In this regard, it acquires and the most important social significance, in fact, itself becomes a social object.

For example, this is most visible when choosing a habitat by a person who always strives for more favorable conditions. It has always been the basis of material prosperity, and therefore quite definitely influenced such spheres as politics, economy, society. The possession of land in the Middle Ages was the main factor in the social differentiation of society and the basis for its identification.

That is why today the use of natural resources in general, and land use in particular, is of great importance. The land has become an important subject of legal regulation, up to the constitutional level. In the Russian Federation, as in other countries, a special order of land allocation for various types of activities is envisaged. According to him, the production of excavation works can only be carried out after obtaining a special permit.

The documentary embodiment of such a permit is the warrant for the excavation work. This document, as a rule, determines the types of work allowed, their terms and methods of production. This document examines in detail what technological operations will be performed in the performance of excavation, what the objectives of this activity are, how environmental activities will be provided after completion of work.
