Kubyshka is ... Description, photo of a plant

Kubyshka is a watery herbage, otherwise called a yellow water lily. Belongs to the family of water-lily. In the wild it grows in Europe, Russia, Asia. A large number of nutrients and fields of application led to the fact that the egg-plant was kept and multiplied in aquariums around the world.

Description

Decorative grass with lancet leaves, beautifully excited in the pond. The underwater part has wavy edges. Kubyshka is a semi-transparent plant with pronounced veins. The color can be from brilliant green to reddish-brown. Kubyshka, the description of which can be found in any aquarist's manual, is a capricious plant, not every (even experienced) aquarium maintainer will cope with it.

Conditions of detention

The preferable conditions are a tropical aquarium. The water temperature should be not lower than 24 degrees, otherwise the flower will grow much more slowly. Kubyshka is a plant that is demanding even for water hardness: about 6-12 degrees of hardness and neutral acidity. It is necessary to show maximum attention to water hardness. The water lily prefers clean water bodies as much as possible. The leaf of the egg capsule is so gentle that the settling slurry of organic material is capable of killing it. Strong flow in the aquarium should be avoided for the same reason. Fish, burrowing soil - bad neighbors for the water lily. Water replacement should not be made more than 3 times a month.

Kubyshka is a plant that loves the light. In aquariums, it will feel a lack of light, so it is important to equip the tank with a backlight. The light day for the water lily should last up to 13 hours. It is recommended to add fluorescent to fluorescent lamps - this will be useful for the plant.

Features

The egg is an alga, but its leaves under natural conditions rarely become floating - they remain under water completely. You can achieve the desired effect by creating the most favorable conditions, including the brightness of light should exceed 1 W / l. Even more rare in the aquarium - flowering. The flower protrudes above the water on a long pedicel. The diameter of the yellow inflorescence is 3-5 cm.

Priming

Although the egg is an alga that can absorb nutrients from water, the soil for it must be selected especially carefully, focusing on its high nutritional value. Transplanting the plant in a new "pond", it is necessary to add charcoal and clay. For the further development of the yellow water lily, there will be enough natural silting. You should regularly clean the aquarium from the silt to prevent the rhizome from sour. Kubyshka is a plant with a very powerful root system, so the soil should be at least 8 cm thick.

Recommendations

Under favorable conditions of keeping the egg, the photo of which clearly demonstrates the possibility of its successful cultivation, it grows greatly, filling the aquarium. Therefore, it should be regularly thinned, watching simultaneously the rejuvenation of the population.

Reproduction

It is quite difficult to propagate a plant. It happens vegetatively, but the rhizome branches for a long time - about once in 12 months. Separate the new plant should be carefully, because severe trauma to the rhizome can lead to the death of algae.

What is the use of egg capsules?

Kubyshka, a photo of which shows a rather unattractive plant, has a lot of useful substances. The composition of the rhizome includes resins, sugars, sitosterol, alkaloids, stigmasterol and other chemicals.

Leaves have no less useful elements:

  • Coffee acid.
  • Ellagotanins.
  • Ferulic acid.
  • P is coumaric acid.
  • Luteolin.
  • Sinapic acid.

The seed and flowers of the egg capsule contain nymphalin.

Such a composition of parts of the plant makes it possible to widely use it not only in folk, but even in traditional medicine. On the basis of the water lily yellow, preparations of various action are made:

  • Cholagogue.
  • Painkillers.
  • Soothing.
  • Bactericidal.
  • Diuretics.
  • Astringents.
  • Sleeping pills.

Application

When preparing preparations all parts of the plant are used: leaves, seeds, flowers, rhizome. To get raw materials, it takes a lot of effort. Not only that it is not easy to extract rhizomes from the bottom of the reservoir, so even during the drying of plants the most part is lost - only 1 kg of product is obtained from 10 kg of extracted rhizomes.
From this part of the plant Lutenurin is made, suitable for the treatment of Trichomonas. In addition, on the basis of egg capsules, contraceptives are produced.

With topical application of preparations from extracts, they can be used to treat skin and mucous diseases caused by pathogenic fungi and microorganisms. Folk healers are advised to use the egg capsule in the treatment of certain types of malignant tumors.

Rhizomes of egg capsules are used as corrective agents for sexual activity. It is most useful in case of painful pollutions in men, impotence or libido. Decoction of the rhizome is recommended for women suffering from problems with the emergence of desire.

In the people all parts of the plant are used for fever, various skin diseases, inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. Broth is recommended for such diseases:

Kubyshka in Russia

In natural conditions, the egg capsule is a fairly large plant: flower cups up to 30 mm long. The floating parts of the leaf are egg-shaped, on long petioles, consisting of three faces.

Petals quite a lot, with a honey hole. The flowers are yellow, with a large number of stamens. Fruits of egg capsules are smooth, mucilaginous after ripening.

In our country there is not so often this plant - a yellow egg. The Red Book of the Russian Federation classifies it as vulnerable plants. Although the list of IUCN is not found this plant.
Previously, the largest populations were in the Krasnodar Territory, however, today their numbers have been significantly reduced. Nowadays the smallest populations are in the floodplain of the Kuban River. A further reduction is noted every year.
Causes on which yellow eggpot can soon disappear in our country is pollution of its habitats, measures for draining territories, procuring as medicines.

At the moment, security measures are held in the Azov State Wildlife Refuge and in the Primorsko-Akhtarskiy State Forestry Hunting Farm.
It requires constant monitoring of the population, a ban on the collection of any parts of the plant, complete protection, propaganda among the population. In the Kuban floodplains, it is necessary to organize protected areas, to facilitate the maximum return of the egg capsules to natural habitats.
