Some settings for Opera
To use all the capabilities of the Internet, it is not enough to just connect. Entering into an agreement with a provider to provide Internet access services is an important, but not the only, step. To work with network resources, you need a special program called "browser".
The algorithm for working with pages (software core) is different for everyone. Until recently, Opera was considered one of the best browsers. The speed of work, a thoughtful interface, unique features - all for the convenience of the user. And the settings of the Opera allowed to fully reveal the potential of the application. The flexibility of configuration is one of the "pluses" of the program. At the present time, when Chrome became the unsolved standard in the Internet, the Opera had to make room. In addition, there are rumors about the change of Presto's engine to Chrome. It remains only to wait and hope that the developers will succeed, and many users will decide to restore the Opera as their main browser. Well, we 'll cross fingers. Today we will review the settings of the Opera to be ready to reveal the potential of the future new version. Moreover, there is very little time left before it leaves.
Let's talk about basic adjustments. After starting the Opera, you must press the combination "Ctrl + F12" - the result is a window with settings. Then go to the "Advanced" tab. Here we note only a few key points, in our opinion, the most important.
The "Downloads" item allows you to specify the location on the medium where the downloaded files will be stored - it is very convenient, since you do not need to specify the path all the time. Here there is a window "Find" - it affects the processing of extensions. For example, if you want to associate a third-party program with torrent files, and not the Opera itself, then type "torrent", then double-click on the line below, and prescribe the program by default. In the "History" section, you can increase the disk cache - it is not superfluous.
You can open the hidden settings window by typing the command "config" in the address line of the Opera. Here you can try to enable Hardware Accelleration and WebGL - nothing terrible will happen, and new features will be added. By the way, you can save Opera's settings and after reinstalling the system restore the browser. To do this, you need to save the Profile folder (the default is in the "Documents"), and if necessary, return it back.
