Kisegach (the lake). Recreation bases on Lake Kisegach

In the Urals in the Chelyabinsk region there is a remarkable in its beauty lake system, in the name of which there is the word Kisegach. They are located where the lowland meets the mountain. Because of the tectonic activity, cracks, faults, folds first appeared in the earth's crust, and then they were filled with water. So the lakes were formed.

Where the wood is cut

They say that the name of the lakes was invented by local Bashkirs. The word "kisegach" means a place, in this case a lake, where the forest is cut. On the shores of the lakes there is really a lot of forest. However, this name came not very long ago. In ancient times it was written differently in different sources (Kisigach, Kis-Agach, Kisegatash and the like). This title was also translated in different ways. For example, there was also such a value as "a lake with steep banks".

In the Chelyabinsk region there are five lakes with a similar name. In Chebarkulsky district there is Big and Small Kisegach, in Sosnovsky district - just Kisegach, in Kaslinsky - two more lakes with the same name.

The largest and most beautiful of them is Bolshoi Kisegach. The lake is located in Chebarkulsky district, the resort area of the South Urals, and is popular with those who like to relax in nature.

Thirteen thousand years ago

Lake Bolshoy Kisegach of ancient origin. His age, according to scientists, can be about 13 thousand years.

Of course, over such a long period the lake not only changed its outlines, but also, depending on the climate, it grew warmer and colder.

Once upon a time, the tundra passed along its banks. Deciduous forests rustled here about nine thousand years ago. And now in these places you can find birch, pine, oak, linden, elm and other deciduous trees.

The primordial nature was preserved in these places, probably because they were not inhabited for a long time. At least archaeologists do not yet find evidence of parking near the Greater Kisegach primitive people. There are no traces of residence and later period. Only there are graves of Ancient Scots origin. Scientists suggest that the Old Believers here were hiding from the persecution of the authorities.

Deep and transparent

The area of the lake is about 15 square kilometers. Kisegach is a lake that stretched for more than six kilometers, and a width of four kilometers.

In the Chelyabinsk region, Big Kisegach is one of the three deepest lakes.

Its maximum depth is 33 meters. Deeper than it is considered only Lake Turgoyaka and Uvildov. The depth of the latter reaches 38 meters. The depth of Lake Kisegach, on average over its entire length, is 10 meters.

The water on this forest lake is very clean, almost transparent. The bottom is visible at a depth of 10 meters. That's why the rest on Lake Kisegach is so valuable.

In addition, the lake is with running water. Six small rivers flow into it, which mainly originate in the Ilmen Mountains. Some of them connect Kisegach lake with other reservoirs of the Ural region, thereby facilitating travel to these places by boats and catamarans.

Picturesque beaches

The coastline of this Ural lake stretches for 26 kilometers. And there is hardly a corner on it that does not attract its unique beauty. On the stony slopes of the banks rise slender pine and birch, and also grows many other trees and shrubs. At the same time, here and there along the entire coast there are cozy coves, bays-curies and sandy beaches. It is not surprising that recreation centers on Lake Kisegach are popular.

In 1969, the surroundings of the Big Kisegach and the lake itself received the status of a natural monument and a protected area. In addition, the western shore of the lake approaches the Ilmen State Reserve closely.

Numerous islands

Twelve islands are located among the water surface of Lake Big Kisegach. They are different in size and their picturesqueness. Saddle, High, Lime, Don, Kopeshka ... Some names speak for themselves, some based on local legends and customs. There are no names on the lake.

At a time when the water level in the lake is lowering (either because of the heat, or for other reasons), stone ridges that call the loaches come out from under the water. They like to relax on birds. By the way, there are a lot of birds on the islands of Kisegach. They are nesting there and stop to rest when traveling long distances. After all, Big Kisegach is a lake rich in fish, besides it is well protected from the winds, since it is surrounded on almost all sides by hills.

Island of lovers of fishing

Not only the wonderful nature attracts tourists to Kisegach, but also great opportunities for fishing. There are a lot of different fish here: pike, perch, crucian, chebach, ruff, tench, ide. And even there are rare for these places smelt and whitefish. The latter is very large.

Fans of fishing not only occupy the shores of the lake, but also develop islands. And in winter they fish right from the ice, setting up whole tent settlements on it. Attracts them at this time of year is the smelt most.

Lake Kisegach may have the opportunity and hunt, but for this it is necessary to get permission in the local forest districts. But on the territory of the Ilmen Reserve, which borders on the lake in the west, both hunting and fishing are prohibited.

Recreation bases on Lake Kisegach

Of course, you can relax on the lake on your own, as a tourist, with a backpack and tent. However, not everyone likes this kind of rest. There is an alternative: sanatoriums and recreation centers.

Already in Soviet times, Kisegach was a famous balneological resort of the South Urals. The first holiday house was opened in 1926. During the war there worked as a hospital, and in the post-war period the sanatorium "Kisegach" was opened. It is now considered one of the best health resorts in the Urals. In addition to coniferous forests, clean air, the sanatorium offers mineral baths, procedures with sapropel mud, hydromassage, magnetotherapy and other diverse treatments.

If you do not focus on treatment, then for a good rest, boarding houses and bases on Lake Kisegach are suitable. For example, you can live in a boarding house "Utes" or at the recreation center "Ural Zori". This list can be continued: "Ogonek", "Metallurg", "Kisegach" - these are all recreation centers. We are glad for guests and in the ski resort "Solnechnaya Dolina", and in the hotel complex "Utesoff". And in the holiday village Kolokolenka you can rent a house. So the choice is big enough, the main thing - would be the desire to go to these wonderful places.
