Judoist of Malta

It so happened that many promising sportsmen leave Belarus and successfully show results on the international arena representing other states. There are many reasons for this, there is also a social and material status that does not give a real opportunity to promote athletes and develop sports in general.

The history of the judoka Alexander Gribinets, who started his modest career in the Republic of Belarus, was very interesting. In judo, he came late, and began studying from the age of 14 under the leadership of the well-known athlete and coach of the USSR Pashkov Vyacheslav Grigorievich. After joining the Academy of Physical Education and Sport in 2000, Sasha was looking for himself a permanent coach who could see in him the desire to achieve high results, but alas no one wanted to waste his time on an unknown guy. Not finishing the University in 2005, Alexander immigrated to Austria in search of a sports career, which was not fully able to create in Belarus.

At dawn, Sasha began training at the well-known Viennese Judo Club "Samurai" under the guidance of his personal trainer Leopold Korner. The club is quite well-known in Austria and is considered one of the best, in the club there are trained extra-class athletes from different nationalities.

The result was not long in coming, in 2006, the World Cup in judo took place in Vienna, where athletes from all over the world gathered to defend their flags: Austria, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Georgia and Egypt. These were the first competitions of this level for Alexander, where he defended the red and white colors of the Austrian flag. He felt in himself an atmosphere of struggle showing a very beautiful and competently-delivered fight, bringing to the team's coin box a bronze medal in the weight category up to 81 kg.

Then it turned out that the sports road brought him to the island of Malta, where he proved himself, and got into the national team by winning the National Championship of the country 2009. He performed at international tournaments of various classes where he showed good results. There was a motivation and hope for the embodiment of a sports dream into reality, and to get to the Olympic Games 2012 in London, what every athlete dreams about.

In the soul of a true athlete there is that sporting dream to which he goes on his own, that light that smoldering in the heart and then ignites without anyone's help, burns all the obstacles on the way and eventually the dream becomes transparent and closer and closer.

Friends wish Alexander success in the sport of higher achievements and glory in the international arena, which he rightfully deserves.
