The life and work of AS Griboyedov - not long, but bright - have been sufficiently studied. This person occupies a special place in Russian literature and history. He was deservedly recognized as one of the most educated people of the early XIX century, an excellent international diplomat, an innovator in the field of literature, in particular classical comedy.

Today, it is not a problem to find information about how his way of diplomat and poet developed. Therefore, in this article only the most interesting facts from Griboyedov's life will be considered.

Education

It would seem that here you can find something unusual? Mandatory for every nobleman's way: home school, boarding school or gymnasium, university.

Griboyedov from childhood was characterized by incredible perseverance and the desire for knowledge. My mother invited I.Petrosilius to study with the children of the very educated person, there were often professors in the house. They laid a solid foundation in the boy for further education. In his childhood, and all his life, Griboyedov was distinguished by his desire for languages and literature.

So, already in six years he spoke three languages. In my youth, this list has doubled. In addition to French, English, German and Italian, he mastered the Latin and Greek languages. Later, in connection with the post of diplomat and frequent trips to the East, A. Griboyedov studied Georgian, Turkish, Persian, and Arabic.

Unbelievable was his progress in studies:

  • 1803 - noble boarding school at Moscow University;
  • 1806 - verbal separation of the same university;
  • 1808 - candidate of verbal sciences, admission to the moral and political and physico-mathematical departments of the university.

Interesting facts from the life of Griboedov musician

Another undoubted talent of Alexander Sergeevich was the ability to play the piano and the ability of the composer. Traditional music education in childhood has grown into a passion that has survived throughout life.

Friends and friends of Griboyedov have repeatedly noted his "great game", called "excellent pianist" and "great connoisseur of music." "He will sit down ... and begin to fantasize," Karatygin wrote. Unfortunately, the musical "plays" by Griboedov-musician, except for two waltzes, were not preserved. And among them there were sonatas and even a mazurka, which is known for certain from the poet's wife, N. Chavchavadze, and his acquaintances.

The recorded waltzes (they were called A-flat major and E-minor), in fact, became the first musical works of this genre that survived to our time. And today they amaze listeners with their artistic merits and lyricism.

Participation in the "quadruple duel"

Interesting facts from the life of AS Griboyedov. And connect with the incident in 1817-1818. Alexander Sergeevich lived then in Petersburg at the apartment of Count A. Zavadovsky. The latter was hopelessly in love with the well-known ballerina A. Istomin, who was on the staff of cavalier guard V. Sheremetev. Somehow after the quarrel of lovers Alexander Sergeyevich, who did not have a special affection for a young woman, went to the backstage and invited her to a "cup of tea" (most likely to make a nice friend). The witness of their departure from the theater was Sheremetev, who, on the advice of his friend, cornet A. Yakubovich, summoned Griboyedov to a duel. He refused, but added that he was ready to shoot with his second. As a result, the "quadruple duel" took place. Opponents in it in 1817 were Zavadovsky and Sheremetev. The latter received a fatal wound, and the duel between the seconds had to be postponed for almost a year. Griboyedov, then secretary of the Russian embassy in Persia, and Yakubovich, exiled to the Caucasus, met in Tiflis. The poet during the duel received a bullet in the left hand. It is for this injury that his corpse is identified after the murder in Persia.

Personal life of Griboedov: marriage

A young diplomat and author of the comedy "Woe from Wit", known in literary circles, has always been interested in women. However, he did not start a serious relationship until he met with the Georgian princess Nina Chavchavadze in the summer of 1828 in Tbilisi (Tbilisi). He had known her for a long time, but this time a beautiful girl with a kind and sensitive look appeared before him.

Alexander almost immediately made Ninula (as he called her) a proposal. He did not stop the man who wanted to change Griboedov's life and the fact that he needed to get permission for a wedding from Petersburg. Using connections and explaining his haste by the need for an early departure to Persia, on August 22 Griboyedov got married. Preserved information that during the wedding, held in the Cathedral of Sion, the poet's fever fell, the ring, which caused restless exclamations of those present.

Young lived together only a few months. On December 9 of the same year Griboyedov left his wife in Tabriz, and himself went to Persia, where he was soon killed by an angry mob attacking the Russian embassy on January 30 next year.

July 18, 1829 in the same Sion Cathedral, a funeral was held "Russian son-in-law", buried at his request in Tiflis. Nina Alexandrovna remained faithful to her husband until the end of her life, and installed an unusual monument on his grave depicting a woman weeping before the crucifixion.

"Shah" - buy-out for murder

Considering interesting facts from the life of Griboyedov, one can not fail to mention the famous diamond presented to the Russian emperor by the heir to the Persian throne. Thus, the Persian Shah (which got such a name in Russia and the precious stone) tried to buy off the defeat of the Russian mission in Tehran.

Nicholas I in response demanded only the return to his homeland of the remains of Ambassador Alexander Sergeevich Griboyedov.
