Installation of slopes on plastic windows

Installation of slopes on plastic windows gives a decorative look to the opening of the window and enhances the effect of thermal insulation. In addition, such slopes are smooth, with a smooth surface, which are easy to clean, serve for a long time and do not require additional care, painting. Padded inside a heater well protects the walls from freezing.

Installation of slopes on plastic windows is quick, but the person needs experience, the necessary skills and knowledge to perform these works. For installation, a thermal insulation material is required. It is best to do this with mounting foam and other necessary equipment: a drill, a screwdriver, a bubble level, screws, a construction knife, scissors, silicone, tape measure, screwdriver and plastic.

Finishing the slopes of the windows gives the apartment reliability, durability and improves the aesthetic appearance of the room. They are safe for people's health, since they do not emit toxins, absorb moisture, do not swell like a tree, and harmonize with any furniture.

Begin the work with the preparation of balcony and window openings. Seal hermetically all joints between bricks or panels, mark carefully under the windowsill and all seams around the insulating glass as needed. A continuous layer of foam between the bricks and slopes is necessary, so that later in these places condensation does not accumulate and the fungus does not start.

Finishing of plastic windows - work that can be done with simple plaster, or install plasterboard or plastic panels. The second option is more modern, practical and convenient. All work takes a couple of hours, but it gives an excellent result.

At first, the wooden slats are fixed with screws to the wall vertically and horizontally and checked by their level. Then reinforce the starting profile of the U-shape at the edge of the window, carefully cut at the corners to get even joints. Make a notch in the foam seam and begin to install the top slope.

To do this, you need to measure its length from the side of the window and from the side of the room, because these openings are slightly different. Cut off the plastic, attach it to try, make sure that everything is fit and fit it.

To the wooden rod, attach the F-shaped profile so that its groove is opposite the groove of the U-shaped profile. The prepared panel is inserted into these grooves inside, and a heater is laid between the panel and the wall. It must be a hydro-, heat- and noise-insulating material, such as mineral wool or mounting foam.

Walls should be sprinkled with water beforehand, so that the mounting foam is better attached to it. A balloon with foam heated on a radiator. Then, along the perimeter of the slopes, mark, in the places of contact of the panel with the windows, and fasten the plastic panel. Between the slopes and the wall, propenit horizontal strips with a few steps to get it neat, and there was no deformation of the slopes. After all, the mounting foam expands when it starts to solidify.

Installation of slopes on plastic windows from the sides is done similarly. The only difference is in the dimensioning of the side panel. Its lower edge is more convenient to cut at a right angle, and the upper one will have to be adjusted so that it fits snugly against the top panel.

In the seam of foam around the insulating glass make a notch, the depth of which is slightly less than the thickness of the panel, so that there is a tight abutment. After installing the panels, you can glue the decorative corners and pass all the seams with a sealant. To do this, use a white silicone or cosmophen. Allow to dry well, after that you can remove the paint tape.

Installation of slopes on plastic windows can be carried out with the help of sandwich panels. This is a faster, but more expensive installation option. The advantage of sandwich panels in front of plastic panels is also the fact that inside the latter there is air, and in sandwich panels - extruded polystyrene.
First, a plastic adapter is attached, then cut into the dimensions of the panel, and then in level set them in the slopes. Under the window sill, it is enough to gypsum, and all the slices to be covered with decorative corners. They are much more reliable and easier to dismantle when replaced with new ones, they are not scratched, they do not show any slight mechanical damage.
