How to write an application for dismissal?

If the previous job does not suit you in terms of salary, scope of duties or working conditions, it is worthwhile to think about finding a new place. What do you need to do before you write an application for dismissal? How to properly arrange it?

Before you leave the old place, it is worth looking like an interview and looking for a new one. If this is not done, then it is possible to sit for a month without work, because it is not a fact that the position of your dream will be found right away. In addition, employers are much more willing to consider candidates for job applicants than those who have already retired. The fact is that when a person leaves a previous place, even if he is in labor, and the entry is "on his own", there is a possibility that he was "asked" for some reason to leave. And when a working candidate comes to the interview, it is clear that he is simply looking for a better share.

When a new job is found, you can inform your management about it. The downside is that by law the employee is required to work on the old site for 14 days and not the fact that such a delay will please the new employer. Therefore, before writing an application for dismissal, it is worth discussing this matter with your boss in advance. Perhaps, if you have a good relationship and there is no urgent need for a new employee, he will allow you to leave without working or reduce it to a couple of days. If you did not manage to agree on this issue before you write an application for dismissal - there is no way out, you will have to work out the days laid down by law. However, if you take a sick-list for this period, you will not have to go to work.

How to write a letter of resignation? It is written in free form. Usually the text expresses a desire to quit, write the date of the alleged withdrawal and, in rare cases, the reason for the dismissal. You should be more careful with this. Of course, sometimes I want to state in the statement everything that has boiled up on my soul: complain about careless colleagues, mention that the reason for the dismissal were regular delays after work or the boss-tyrant. However, it is better to refrain from such statements in the text of the statement. Fate can play a cruel joke. It is possible that in a new job something will not work out and will have to return to the old place. Or in the future, you can meet in the same work with former colleagues who will start hearing about your scandalous nature. Be that as it may, quarrel with colleagues before writing an application for dismissal and working out the last 2 weeks is not worth it.

By the way, when can I return to my previous place? If the statement was written at will, then it can be withdrawn by a counter-application at any time during these two weeks. True, there are two exceptions. The first - if a person went on leave before dismissal, and the second - if he was already found a replacement, and a new employee was summoned or formalized with the appropriate document.

Here is an example of how to properly write an application for dismissal. In the right upper part of the sheet indicate from whom and to whom this document is written: name and title. Below, in the center, the headline "Application" goes directly, and then the text itself: "Please dismiss me on 01/01/2013 at will and terminate the employment contract dated November 19, 2012 under the number XXX." Below is a signature with a transcript and a date. As a rule, such a formulation is sufficient, and if desired, the reason for his departure can be explained in a personal conversation.

Application for dismissal of the employer has no right not to accept. However, in life there is everything - if at work, and the employee is going to leave for a new job, if all the rest are on leave and there's simply no one to work for, the boss can refuse to sign this statement or even defiantly break it. The only way out in this case is to send an application through the mail by registered mail. The secretary or office manager will be forced to register and sign the receipt.
